Current Compile Uses Source: MQ2-20080307

As always, feedback is welcome. Let me know if there's any plugins you want to see included or if you come across any problems. I will ignore any requests for GK/ND. I have no idea how to make those particular plugins and it's also a very touchy subject in the EQ and MQ Communites.

Warp/Piggyzone/Gank/CSum (and all those goodies) WILL be included VERY SOON.

I will be glad to look into getting any other plugins added that are in my power.

Please post any problems with the compile as well and I will do my best to get them fixed soon.

3/22/08
--A few plugins added

2/28/08
--Compile updated for today's patch.
--Added Vlad's DoCrack.ini from the other thread into the zip file so you don't have to download it separate.

*Disclaimer* As with any use of third party programs and hacking in EQ, you run the risk of being suspended or banned every time you log in with MQ. Even the MQ2 Devs didn't know for months that there were things in MQ that were traceable by Sony. While the likelyhood of anything happening from using just the basic, non-active hacks is close to none, the risk is always there. With that being said, enjoy the compile.

Known Issues:

-None at the moment

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

your compile has me crashing like mad ... no paticalur thing just about every 5 mins

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

did you start with a clean directory? ie. no other .dll files before unzipping mq2 to that directory?

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

hmm...haven't heard anything else yet. Post your Macroquest2.ini file. Maybe we can find the problem.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

i found a plugin on the MQ2 vip forums that id love to be using but cant seem to figure out how to get it to work tried compiling MQ2 and the plugin myself and tried adding it to your source and compiling it with that and just cant get it to work anyway someone can help me out ??

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

Which Plugin?

Open up your MoveUtils.ini and turn off StuckLogic. (StuckLogic=off) See if that works. I was having a similar problem with /stick a while back and that's what fixed it.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

Added MQ2Setgrav. Thanks to Unknown for the source! You can DL the plugin here, and it will be in all future compiles.

*ponders how setgrav is useful without warp*

drawing a blank on that one :)

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

Well, I know I used it to kill the dragons for my bard's epic without warp.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

I don't include MQ2Web, so that could be the problem. =p

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

i know MQ2web is not included in your compile is why i downloaded your source files and added it to them and compiled it myself but it still wont work for me everything els is working fine that i added into the source except that plugin

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

mq2web is ieatacid's project iirc I don't know anything about it, but I think the best place to ask would be over at the mq2 boards. Although others here might be able to answer your question too.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

We do not support that plugin here. You need to go to www.macroquest2.com and ask for support. We aren't allowed to put that into our compiles, nor offer support for it.

MQ2 is GPL, how can you not be allowed to put it in provided you follow GPL? I'm confused.

Because I respect the person who updates MacroQuest2 every month for us. He doesn't want his plugin on any website without his permission. It's respect.

That makes more sense. Its not that you are not allowed, its that you choose not to.

FYI, I've heard he takes bribes to allow you to have his plugins :)

I heard that as well :). As far as allowed goes, I meant to say no one is going to compile that and release it here without proper permission.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

Basically, what Jigs said. =p

I don't feel like bribing someone to use their plugin and if he feels that he doesn't want it here otherwise, then that's fine with me. MQ2Web is a nice plugin, but doesn't make or break MQ, and is not necessary. If you use WinEQ, it's very easy to alt+tab to a web browser.

If you run in windowed mode you can open a browser of your choice (MSIE, Firefox, Opera, whatever) without even needing WinEQ. I do it all the time. I've also opened word processors, spreadsheets, and all manner of other programs while playing EQ in windowed mode. I regularly open in-game cartography files in Notepad and run "search and replace" operations on them to tweak the gawdawful colors some people seem to like to use.

Oh, and I often launch and play solitaire or hearts while our raid is resting up after a wipe. It helps to pass the time.

:)

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

lol...I forgot EQ even had Windowed mode, I've used WinEQ for years. =p

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

so what does set grave do?

Full instructions found Here. Just a quick plugin I wrote up to let you change your gravity, if it gets too high you will take like 10 million fall damage and too low you'll float. It's just really all for fun, not much use from it.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.0

no, as per jigs' post in his thread. no .exe changes which means no changes needed for mq2.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.1

First post updated with latest release.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.1

Ugh, I was at work for it. Let me check it out.

Re: Mac's (Jmo's) Compile v11.1
