Question - Instant/Fast Spawning Mobs- TLP?

Hi all,

Iʻm curious if there are still any instant/fast spawning mobs that exist in classic? I know there was one on Project1999 (with Slaythe from this quest: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=432 )

I also know there was this in Felwithe, but the NPC is lvl 61 and may have gotten fixed? (Probably wonʻt be killable until Kunark anyways with a small crew- http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=15657 )

My crew is in their low teens and looking for optimal spots to get some quick XP when I play really late at night PST. Looking to discover some knowledge to optimize not only in the present but also in the near future, so donʻt limit your sharing to my specific level!

the 5 or so kobolds that guard the paladin epic quest npc kinda thing in south karana, 2 minute spawn timer on them.

Thanks Kaen I will give that a shot! If any one needs to farm bone chips I know the tri spawn in Paineel instantly respawns/within a few seconds. Same for the fire beetles but past lvl 2-3 this would be void and make the run over not worth it.

There is a constantly spawning orc pawn/centurion that will get you to level 5/6 real fast in freeport as well. Its right outside the gates in west freeport.

There is a constantly spawning orc centurion as well in greater faydark west of the orc camps as well. Would take you to level 6-8 pretty nicely.

These little tricks are definitely welcomed! I bet there's some hidden npc like this in many random zones, lol.

Brother Hayle is the guy that is surrounded by kobolds, should be a marker on the map if you using brewalls map

I read a thread on the EQ forums that said revamped zones tend to have super fast respawns, such as OOT having some instant spawns/within a few minutes. I will check it out once I'm high enough level

I just tried mr tolon does instantly spawn on command but i dunno if he's worth any exp ill go find a 60 to try

On live the npc only appears to be level 42

AAANNDD 0% exp at level 50 lb con with event exp and FV exp, pretty sure its nerfed

Was Tolon dropping anything toric? I know on maybe Agnarr or Phinny he was dropping 15-20 plat worth of items and instant respawn. It may have gotten nerfed (probably why theres no XP at least.) Cool that he's only level 42!

Orcs in South RO spawn almost instantly. Near the beach near the Spectre tower. Good for 12-20.

Nothing was dropping, corpse instantly despawned

You're welcome! They're in a group of 4-5. Our group of 6 struggled to keep them dead with a charmed pet.

There are 4-5 down on beach by water which I think is what you are referring too. There are multiple spawns up at the top of the hill as well. In 1?s and 2?s until you can easily keep all despawned.
