I'm an old player from back in the Kunark - PoP - GoD and OOW days. I never tried MQ2 back then, but since coming back to the game about 2 months ago, I really wanted to build up my own crew and try it out. Obviously, I found RedGuides and have been running around with VV for the past few weeks. Holy shit what a game changer!!! To be sure, there's a bit of a learning curve, but fortunately I'm a computer engineer and have worked in the computer industry for the past 23 years for companies like Dell and AMD. In any case, I wanted to commend the entire dev team on a job well done!

It just so happened that a few of the first YouTube vids I watched were from Sic. So, I picked up the CWTN MQ2Shaman and MQ2Berzerker to run alongside my new Bard. I was SO impressed with those plugins after 3 days that I bought MQ2Cleric, MQ2Rogue, and MQ2Eskay to fill out my group!! I'm still in the process of learning how to tweak and tune each of these to maximize DPS and Spell Casting. The latter I'm having a little difficulty with in fact. Is there a way to specify buffs and heals that you want the character to use without setting BYOS??

One other question...is there a video or guide somewhere that goes into depth on how to set up your camp?? I'm using KissAssist for my bard (puller) and class plugins for the other 4 with a merc healer. I can get setup in PoFire C2 np and just go at it all day. But, for whatever reason trying to set up in Ashengate has been problematic 3 nights in a row....ending with several wipes. I know it's something to do with my config...but being brand new to this I'm not at all sure what I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, HUGE props to everyone that works on this build! As someone who has spent his entire career in software, I absolutely appreciate quality software that fits a specific need and does its job well!

You should review all the videos in my signature, i go over a lot of the information that you asked about.

As far as specifying characters for buffs etc, no everything is hard coded on what and on whom to check. But review the vids, each class has an overview video, the mq2war video goes over tank modes, the how i move my toons vid will help with setting camps etc.

Thanks for the super fast response @Sic ! I've watched all your class-specific videos...EXCEPT the Warrior class video. LMFAO! I played an Ogre Warrior back in the day and have no intention on playing another one in my second go-round. So I intentionally skilled that video knowing I'd never play that class. But, I'll go back and watch it a couple times now!

yeah warrior video coincided on when we added pulling and the pulling commands and info, so i combo'd the video. its very possible I'll eventually go back and re-do all the videos because we continually add/adjust functions and features

@Kakgumu warriors are now reasonable involved with a ton of abilities. Takes skill to play well, and I think they’re a fun class.

I also had a warrior back then, but came back resolved to never play one again. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked one up again.

RE your camp, can you post the pull section of your bard ini? Also, how are the camp radius‘ set for the other toons?

@wymranar thanks for the info on the current state of Warriors. That's actually great to hear! But...the change to an SK for my group tanking needs has struck my curiosity. I never had an SK or a Paly alt back in the early 00's. I guess I never really had a need. So, this time around I'm trying to explore new and different areas of the game...and especially new character classes. :-)

Here's that section of my INI:

INI:
[Pull]
PullTwistOn=1
PullWith=Sonic Disturbance
PullMeleeStick=0
MaxRadius=250
MaxZRange=50
UseWayPointZ=0
PullWait=4
PullRadiusToUse=150
PullRoleToggle=0
ChainPull=0
ChainPullHP=20
PullPause=0|0
PullLevel=0|0
PullArcWidth=0
PullOnReturn=0

@Kakgumu so, I don’t see anything extraordinary in your ini. Whenever this happens to me, I will set up mq2log, then turn it on. This will log the mq2 window for you. Whenever you discover you have wiped, you can go back and look at the log to piece together what exactly is happening. Mq2log is a plugin by the way.

And make sure you unload it when you don’t need it because it can become memory intensive.

It could be that your puller is getting stuck on a piece of geography somewhere on the map. It might be as simple as that.

Thanks for the feedback @wymranar , I'll do that this evening and see what the logs have to say!
