I can't get MQ2EVENTS to work with melee characters. It simply does not want to duck (works with Cleric). I tried many different things include what Sic list for bard on his video. Also, I have a hard time getting my crew to assist my SK. I have tried a Hotkey with /bcga //target clear; //bcga //keypress esc. They keep attacking the AoW. Sigh... anyone have the magic bullet for this mission?

Ok, so that seems to work switching targets - will set that up on cleric and use bcg instead. Now all that is left is ducking on melee.

unless u are after the achievement, this event can be 3 boxed w mercs (2 healer mercs 1 dps), hell even 3 merc healers
1 tank 2 dps,
its a grind but youll win
the 2 live toons dont even have to duck if they dont suck and can live thru emote
MT doesnt get emote, so at most youll duck with 2 toons (mercs dont duck but also dont die)

Don't forget to do a /event load too, each time you modify the ini.

The events is loaded and option for auto turned off. They pause section works, but the melee characters never duck, they just stand.

it's like the duck part is not being que'd properly or something preventing it.

There is a issue where the duck animation doesnt show with mq2events, even though they do duck.

This is my hotkey to duck /bct Name //multiline ; /mqp ; /keypress esc ; /delay 10 ; /keypress x
then to stand after, /bct Name //multiline ; /stand ; /mqp

[kneel]
trigger=#1#The ice encrusted Avatar of War shouts that |${Me}| must bend the knee!#2#
command=/if (!${Me.Ducking}) /multiline ; /mqp on; /attack off; /target clear; /keypress DUCK

[stand]
trigger=#1#The Avatar of War nods, accepting the subservience of those that gave it#2#
command=/if (${Me.Ducking}) /multiline ; /keypress DUCK; /mqp off

This what I am using currently and works for cleric, melee pause but don't duck. Stole that from Sic's video on it

mercs dont go splat to the duck emote and it saves a player toon (box) from having to deal emote

I do it fairly regularly and all the stuff i showed in the video and posted in the thread is what i do it with :(
dunno what else to help with

keep in mind if you *DO* do this in your alt-o you need to change it back, otherwise movement keys won't stand your dudes back up and some macros/plugins will end up having issues. I did this for my video, but i actually don't ever have that un-checked. that just makes you autostand if you use your movement keys and such

The duck works sometimes on melee, but not all the time. If I could kill those damn adds faster, I could probably get away with a death or two. I just going to give up

don't over dps avatar at most you'll get 1 giant and 1 axe
kill axe asap, get off ANY add (including axes) thats below 20% maybe 15%, up to you if u want to get on avatar or just wait for him to kill the add, heal up etc
you wait not only for achievement but to not have more than 1 giant at a time, its all about controlling adds not getting dps down asap unless u can burn
keep the adds close to the avatar

the way I do it, I do 1st stage like normal, I dont blink for emotes, I try to make sure I take no giants when avatar goes to 2nd phase
2nd Phase, using sk, hit epic, then burn, usually take zerks but any high dps will do, I ignore adds, burn avatar adds depop
If you cant burn avatar you'll have to do the controlled thing, minus emotes :)

Ok got assist down, but my rogue keeps failing emote. I think I can do this event if I can prevent him from dying. Here is my event ini that I stole.... Anything wrong with it?

[kneel]
trigger=#1#The ice encrusted Avatar of War shouts that |${Me}| must bend the knee!#2#
command=/if (!${Me.Ducking}) /multiline ; /mqp on; /attack off; /target clear; /keypress DUCK

[stand]
trigger=#1#The Avatar of War nods, accepting the subservience of those that gave it#2#
command=/if (${Me.Ducking}) /multiline ; /keypress DUCK; /mqp off

I dual box healers n go 2 giants at a time for first rage phase i tank 2 giants 1 are, while i lower the giants to 24% then i drop axe, rage phase hits i spawn axe 2 giants kill axe first then lower 2 giants for rage then last giants n rage. Often turning all dps off for last phase to avoid over dosing avatar.

I box, SK, Zerk, Rogue, Bard, and Cleric. I am using kiss for all of it. I roll the SK without kiss or mq2 melee. I pop melee merc. Going to need Dragonscale when def disc down, so I don't want to waste it if rogue keeps dying

Just to clarify, everytime the rogue fails, I have to unpause MQ. So that means the event is triggering (since I know longer pause for assist), he is just not ducking. I will double check EQ options just to make sure I have auto stand on duck off, but last time I checked I did.

You could try making your rogue back up slightly before ducking. I have a /keypress S before the /keyress DUCK. I had a similar problem to you using MQ2rogue and this seems to work for me.

If you are going after kneel achievement and you must have your live rogue in there
keep him ducked during 1st phase
one more toon getting emotes and not having to worry about it, go nuts w him on 2nd phase
the whole event really doesn't reward a lot of dps especially on 1st phase

Rogue DPS is horrible after death. I can literally use a hot key to get it to work - maybe that’s the way to go.

Here is the event I use on my Cleric and she never fails.

INI:
[kaelduck]
trigger=#*#The ice encrusted Avatar of War shouts that #1# must bend the knee!#*#
command=/if (${Me.CleanName.Equal[${EventArg1}]}) /multiline ; /stopcast ; /melee off ; /MQP on; /gsay ducking is for living beings; /target ${Me.Name}; /attack off; /timed 30 /keypress duck;

[kaelstand]
trigger=#*#The Avatar of War nods, accepting the subservience of those that gave it.#*#
command=/if (${Me.Ducking}) /multiline ; /stand ; /mqp off ; /melee on ; /gsay phew still got my head.. checking!;
