ok, been looking around, not sure which forum to post this in.

Just looking to see if anyone has any good suggestions for optimal settings on these MQ2XXXX plugins.

I am running an all Erudite team, MQ2Eskay (Tank/Puller), MQ2Cleric, MQ2Enchanter, MQ2Mage, MQ2Wizard, and MQ2Necro (I started with MQ2 Paladin, but swapped to necro for this slot).

Basically wondering if I am missing a post somewhere on optimal settings, I have been playing and tweaking. We are level 62, hunting far north in Barren Coast where there are Kerrans and Gorillas that are white and yellow con. This is my makeup, and I have been going high and low with both when to assist, and the DOT Mana and stuff. This is just the most recent.

Really sorry if this is the wrong thread, I jsut happen to be playing around with the Necro settings the most recently. I'd be happy to mvoe it to another forum. But any input or suggestions people have would be great. Kinda looking for a nice steady pull.

Also, I think I need to use Sic Tank for the SK. It seems like when it is on puller tank, it will path way around sometimes and go right past 2-3 level 62's to pull the 62 that is farther away, and then it ends up pulling way too many.

no body wants to look at a whole pile of screenshots unrelated to the thread you're in.

I'm also not going to go through all of your settings for all of your toons in the necro thread.

set all your assist toons to 100 assistat value (i have my toons 100% 100% of the time).

have your tank in huntertank mode, and the rest of your crew in chasemode.

if you don't want to melee on your casters you can turn that off - but just leave everything else at default - "optimal" is going to vary a lot based on expectations and needs/wants, gear, aas, etc there isn't a magic one-size-fits-everything, but when in doubt, leave default.

re: pulling - if you're in an area with a shitty mesh, or bad zone geometry that can happen

if you want to do the walking around and stuff yourself, use manual or sictank mode (with resetcamp) and have everyone in chase. I show this in my "how i move my toons" video, and most of my mission videos.

I personally would probably be in the planes somewhere, pofire or ponightmare etc

I went ahead and just made you a new post

since you're a pure caster setup - it might be worth getting everyone mounts, and utilizing pullertank and regular assist on your assist toons.

make sure you have adjusted your zhigh/zlow - that would explain your walking past toons

Thank you, appreciate the new thread, like I said I wasn’t quite sure. I am going to try and get everybody reset to their default and see how that goes, also, I’ll check out some of the planes like you’re saying too. It’s been so long since I’ve played, and I always used to tend to level and prefer odus

I will play with it some more, I did get everybody the amount, but for some reason, if I use the/BCA a command to make everybody mount at the same time, one or two of them will always randomly end up, standing beside their mount and not actually on their mount. It’s really weird, if I go in and do the command to mount them each individually, they all mount fine. I’ll look and play around more with the high and low as well.

Thank you again. I’m just so more used to IS boxer for playing city of heroes and Warcraft, lol

hmmm, gonna give the planes a try. It's jsut so fun on an RP Server to take a team of Erudites all out to hunt Kerrans. :) An elevated Fox Hunt.

Ok, so I deleted all the ini/configs to reset everyone. Defintly getting better performance. I think I started messing with it at lower levels and somehow got it all off. As far as hunting, I tried checking out the planes. Plane of disease was all Light blue and some dark blue. Not enough to really get good exp, unless maybe there is some planer bonus. I noticed, they are all listed as 45-65. Barren coast is listed 50-70. I went back to hunt Kerrans and Pirates :) still have a lot of dark blue, white, and yellow cons in this zone for now,

Gearwise, I forgot about caps :( I have pretty much ALL Elaborate everything on them. They are all beyond their caps. working on raiding caps with levels, and AA's at the moment.

Could kick myself, I started them all on new accounts, instead of on my ssilver accounts, so they are capped at 250 AA instead of 1k AA like the rest.

Consider subbing your tank at least. At around level 70, things can get really hard with an all free to play team.
I was thinking of brining the silver accounts over, and yes, also subbing one or two to get eh AA Cap lifted. Big difference between 250 and 1k max AA's. :)

is it true, if you are subbed and earnd and spend the AA's, do you still get the benefit of them when you are no longer subbed? I know you cant earn or spend any more, but I thought I read that once they are earned and spent you get to keep the benefits.

Also, I do like the Role Play aspect, back when I was on the trib when the game first came out I had an erudite sk. There was a guild called Innoruuk's Dark Maidens. It was an All female Dark Elf Guild. They needed a tank, and as an Erudite, I was a "Dark" maiden, so we worked it into the story that I was gifted to Inny as a bride by Cazic-Thule. Got to tank Fear and Hate for them.

As far as keeping with my Erudite theme, I would not be opposed to swapping some of them out for Vah Shir. They are technically of Odus. :) And who does not love a bard!!

I understand this is not a group composition question, and depending on your sunk costs, you may not want to change your group, but let me recommend that you consider replacing your CLR with either a SHM, or a DRU. DRU's are better suited to caster groups while a SHM will offer better healing ability above 100. I'd also suggest that you consider replacing the NEC with a BRD.

As for leveling, I'd suggest that you seek zones with more white and yellow cons. Your group should be able to handle tougher mobs with ease.

You keep any AA that you earn and spend while subbed. If you revert to Free to play, you won't be able to earn or spend and additional ones, but you keep the benefits of what you spent while subbed.

I personally would not bother with silver accounts just for that extra AA cap of 1k vs 250. You'll eventually realize that it's fairly insignificant versus just spending a krono every now and then and collecting thousands of auto grant AA.

Keeping a tank subbed allows the continual auto grant AA and use of prestige gear and augs which are significantly better than free to play gear as you get higher level.

Silver accounts have other advantages. Full loyalty velocity, ability to be in general chat, 5 Overseer quests and some other stuff

Not sure what you mean by "bringing the Silver accounts over" - if you have Silver accounts then they are Silver on all non TLP servers. So just make some new guys using that account and on what server you want and in no time you will be up to the 60's on them

Did you know that on free accounts if you buy a level 85 or level 100 Heroic boost that you will get all the AA up to that level. INCLUDED!! The Heroic overrides the Free and Silver AA cap. But you don't get to keep earning them during that month like you would with a paid month.

My suggestion would be dragonscale hills, set your dudes up somewhere where there is a number of mobs around. Put all 5 on assist, and make sure the sk is puller tank. From 61-77 this is what I did couple years back. My setup was a tiny bit different from yours. Back then I had sk, shm, clr, mage, chant, wiz. I usually went where the fairy mobs are you can get their easily through guild hall. Just be careful climbing down the cliff. Set up and let it rip. After reach 77ish maybe even 80. Switch to feerrott and do the crazed mercenaries.

Once around 85 ish swap to the grounds, far right side of the map, do til 90ish then shards landing. Find a camp throw the 5 non tanks into assist then tank into puller tank he will go out tag a mob and bring it back to camp.

Oh yeah, the Farm would be perfect. Make sure you get the quests from Sigglick (sp?) up on the hill as those are kill mobs that you will be killing anyway so you can get extra exp with them included

Good guide here but once again he doesn't really get into it until 3-4 minutes into the vid. He does not use the guild portal but comes in from Al Akon book in POK

I could be entirely wrong I haven't stepped foot into dragonscale hills in 2.5 years but I believe the kill tasks are 65+ so he or she will need to grind it for couple levels. But the quests should help a bit. I always have to remind people don't touch the robot guys in the northwest canyon, or south below the farm they hit to hard and have more HP then the standard mobs.
