How to useitem hotkey with Alt and prevent Object Preview

Just got into trying out MQ as a solo player to get a feel for it, but running into an issue with the Alt key behavior.
Without MQ running I can make an in game macro, place it on say, Alt+W and it will correctly click the item.
/useitem "Item Name"

With MQ running if I press Alt+W it just brings up the Object Preview for the item instead, just like it would if I placed an item shortcut there.
Any guidance here on why the behavior is different/ how to modify it would be greatly appreciated

Solution
On live server.
The object preview is showing the item in the /useitem quotes.
/useitem "Verdant Hedgerow Leaf"
Without MQ running, clicking the macro button on the bar or using a hotkey with Alt+ both correctly summon and dismiss the mount as expected. If I drag the item shortcut instead of the /useitem macro to an Alt+ hotkey it display the Object Preview.

With MQ running, clicking the button still works as expected, but the Alt+ hotkey opens the Object Preview of the mount instead just like it was clicking the actual item.

If I move the social button to a non Alt+ hotkey it works as expected
weird - it doesn't happen by nature of just /useitem "blah item of blah" so i suspect it is because of your pressing alt when you do...
i am unsure you are doing this correct, are you on emu? or live server?

because calling a social with a hotkey should not activate the preview window with mq or not.

because how is it to know which item to preview?

you can do something like /nomodkey /useitem "Verdant Hedgerow Leaf" and that should skip
