Ok, so over the last few days I have had so much fun tweaking my wizard using the conditions aspire2008 gave me as a baseline.

I include a zip with kissasist ini files for wizards all levels from 93 up to 105. The file also contain my version of kissassist 9.24
which as a couple fixes for buffing as well as some other stuff which works well for me. The inis will NOT work with vanilla kiss.

I run a crew with a lvl 105 sk, lvl 105 clr, lvl 105 enc and 2 wiz merc. Currently in EOK zones.
you can pretty much play in any zone with this crew.

I put a lvl 85 heroic wiz in, and he leveled real quick, which is why I didn't start saving the inifiles until he was lvl 93.
back porting them and creating lvl 85-92 should be real easy though (although somewhat timeconsuming), so I leave that up to you guys.

To start the macro I create a hotkey on my wizard with the following text in it:

and that's it, that hotkey now scales up as he levels, just remember to click it when he dings so it uses the new ini... and uhm, mem your new spells...

If anyone tweaks one of the inis or find a better combination of spells, post it.
All inis have the [myspells] section filled in so you can see EXACTLY what spell lineup I used for each level.
The only thing I would change would be what robe u need for mana, but I didn't bother, I just let him wear his heroic robe up to 105 when he got his Cohort's gear...

I think you would find the following spell set and order will increase your DPS.
1. Ethereal Skyblaze
2. Ethereal Fuse
3. Claw of the Flameweaver
4. Flashchar
5. Ethereal Rimeblast
6. Dichotomic Fire
7. Hoarfrost Vortex
8. Cloudburst Stromstrike
9. Shocking Vortex

12. Quiescent Harvest (Gambit is too much of a gamble imho)

All of mine are RK III but I think RK 1's would out DPS the other set and I know RKII's will. (Combat dummy tested)

All of the Irae Faycite Shards should be equipped. (Katta Deludge Aug Vendor)
Kerafyrm's Prismatic Familiar. DD increase by 40 to 60% + 2400 Mana and regen +10

Add
Distilled Mana Tonic
Ancient Hedge Wizards Brew
 
Or, load your spell set, and /plugin mq2afnuke then /nuke resume. :) I suppose I could make it memorize level-appropriate spell sets too...

Does that use all the AA abilities, buffs, etc. as well, or just nuke from the spells memorized? What kind of logic does it apply?
 
If I recall when I used mq2afnuke, it weaved the AA's into the spell routine. I know for sure that EokNuke does because that is what I use now. I have been experimenting with eqmules KA as well. We wizards are DPS whores. We are always looking for anything to squeeze out that last % of DPS. If drinking a beer through a Scooby Do straw increased DPS, we would.
 
Well... It uses jimbob logic (I tried to mimic my raid spell set and casting order), and does use AA nukes (they can be turned off). There are still some bugs with med and mount (I've been lazy, sorry), but if you turn those off, it does some fine DPS. Burns can be enabled, and it burns on 3+ mobs in camp (also configurable). I use it regularly with 3 wizards in EoK zones to melt shit fast. :) It does have an option to test on a combat dummy, but don't leave that option on outside the GGH. There's a whole thread about it and a wiki too. I'd like to get a good comparison to EoKNuke and this new KA mod, but I'm a little busy with RL stuff at the moment.

Your parses are only ~300 sec (~5 min) parse= burst dps. It'd be nice to see what happens if you run it for at least some realistic settings like a normal mq2 person would i.e camping in 1 spot for 3-4 hours at a time. What happens to your mana running that setup for 3-4 hours continuously without dropping out of combat? Unless you have a bard, enchanter, beastlord in group constantly keeping your mana regen up, I'm sure you are going to be just sitting there waiting out of combat every 3 minutes to refill your mana with that setup or else you'll reach 1% mana and the bot will cast its lowest mana nuke over and over when it has enough mana to cast that nuke. While your setup might be nice for bursting on namers and raid, most people that use mq2 are playing over 2-3 hours at a time in a group setting.

There's nothing wrong with your setup for bursting, but there is no way you will keep your mana up with that setup staying in combat for even a hour.

I'm not trying to be harsh on you with your setup, but realistically there is no way to run that setup without an ideal group (beastlord, bard, enchanter) keeping your wizard's mana regen above a level of how quickly you are depleting your mana with the spell set you are running. There are very few instances I play at 5-30 minute intervals at a time, I"m sure most mq2er's are in the same boat as me. And not many of us run our wizard with bard, enchanter, and beastlord in group as well either.


I do like that you used Gamparse though, instead of the awfulness of mq2dpsadv or KA's built in dps mode!!
 
Well, I think since there were no discs up I would think that the dps would stay close to what you see, over an extended period of time.
Of course all testing on a combat dummy means that you do not loose any buffs. So when Twincast is cast, Twincast stays in effect for the entire time
that you are testing.
I run EOKNuke in a "camp" setting now and have plenty of parses I can pull from that.
What I plan on doing is to run MQ2AFNUKE in the same setting as well as a couple of the other ones as well and will post the results here.

It depends on how well your zerker's kiss.ini (or holyshits) is setup. If it's decent, the zerker will probably win over the long term, but if your .ini is shitty afnuke will likely do better.

I run 3 wizzies and 1 zerker across two groups, and with proper support the group with the zerker usually is more consistent with DPS.
 
Yeah I just got my wizard to 105 and all he does is snap aggro from tank and run out of mana hahah

Modify the engagement percentage so the wizard waits a little longer to engage. My wizzies never steal agro from my SK or warrior.

I highly doubt it, maybe on burst now since the zerker nerf. I don't play a zerker so take it as you will. But currently wizard sustained caps out around 55-70k dps (with no extra adps classes), think zerkers are still well over 100k dps sustained.

What's your spell line up look like? And would you share you ini.?



Use the ini setup I posted for 105 wizard, that's about the best you can do on sustained unless you have an ideal group to push your mana regen on wizard (i.e. beastlord, enc, bard).

No and its not even close. Even after the nerfs your zerker should be pushing 100k sustained with the proper support. Im not talking about killing 5 mobs every hr either. Over 200 kills an hr my group zerker does 120k and my raid one does 250k.
 
Try this. Pretty consistent. Really dont run out of mana and the dps is good! Tried and true for many many hours/days/weeks/months yada yada....
