Question - How to change pull method from LOS?

Hi, new Very Vanilla user. Want to say I’m very impressed with the community here and the software quality. Blown away really.

So far everything has been really intuitive and I’ve been able to set things up for my crew out of the box with no help and just using the wiki and other resources.

One question I can’t find a clear answer to is: How can I set my Pet Tank Puller to pull without requiring LOS? I want him to pull anything in my defined radius that is targetable even without LOS. I can’t find a value to change for this function but when the macro loads text is displayed in the console that he is pulling with LOS.

Pulling with pet works fine as long as there is LOS.

I don’t have my values in front of my but if necessary I can post later. I figured I might be missing something obvious to someone. I’m using just Very Vanilla and default plugins.

There are a few types of automation((RGmercs,Kissassit,CWTN,Muleassist) Let us know which one you are using. I would guess rgmercs but just confirm. I dont think there is an LOS setting but you can extend the range and or radius from which it will pull. Need to figure out which automation and then change the pull range in the config file of the puller character . I can give a better answer if I know what automation.

thanks for the reply. I’ll post it along with some values soon. I can’t help but think it’s a setting because when I’m loading /mac kissassist I get feedback on the console that he’s pulling using Line of Sight. Even when mobs are in range and within the parameters, he will sit and show “waiting for mobs to spawn” until something is actually in los. But yeah, I’ll post the specs soon.

There is a LOSBeforeCombat option in general. Try turning that to 0 and see if it fixes it.

Look at the pull section in the Wiki. https://www.redguides.com/docs/projects/kissassist/. I only worry about radius, zrange, and arc. The LOS on just means he will move around until he has LOS to pull. Change your radius to larger and he will start pulling again.
From what I read, I got the impression that LOS wasn't required at all to pet pull. If the mob is targetable at all, puller will send the pet. Thats kind of what I was hoping for. Here are my settings.

[Pull]
PullWith=Pet
PullMeleeStick=0
MaxRadius=1000
MaxZRange=500
UseWayPointZ=0
PullWait=5
PullRadiusToUse=50
PullRoleToggle=0
ChainPull=1
ChainPullHP=94
PullLevel=98|112
PullPause=30|5
PullArcWidth=360
PullOnReturn=0

Yeah, my first thought is that I’m overlooking a setting somewhere b/c wiki says that pet pulling doesn’t require LOS. Some areas with small rooms and lots of corners aren’t great for macro pullers. I did fire up MQ2 NAV and it helped keep the pulls going in this area, but would love to have LOS not required for pet pulling. If that’s a thing.

Did you ever figure this one out?

I am using Kissassist. Here is what loads when I start kissassist:

I have tried to blow everything out to 400 just to give it a reason to pull anything within that 400 radius.

[General]
KissAssistVer=12.002
Role=PullerPetTank
CampRadius=400
CampRadiusExceed=400
[Pet]
PetAttackDistance=400
[Pull]
PullWith=Pet
MaxRadius=400
MaxZRange=500
PullRadiusToUse=100
ChainPull=1
ChainPullHP=99
PullPause=30|5
PullArcWidth=360

If I had to guess....You need MQ2Nav loaded and mesh for the zone you're in so that it can use MQ2Nav to create a path to things where you don't have a line of sight. Without nav trying to get to something you don't have line of sight on means you'll run right into whatever object is blocking your view.

Thank you! Never used it but I will check it out and play around with it.
