Just a future suggestion for the cracked achievement, i saw a idea proposed in a different thread about navigating DPS members to the location of the egg sacs prior to the queen becoming active and having them stay stationary in the rooms and killing the eggs as necessary while the tank & healer take care of the Queen and then regrouping when the queen is dead
 
I think some of the chase spam is because tank is still in hunter mode

Putting into Sic Tank mode when the queen goes in active may help too
So II just tested it with Sic Tank Mode, I would need to have it reset camp every time it fights spiders because it goes after SpiderAdd and kills it but then wont attack SpiderBoss due to being outside camp. Otherwise, I could make camp radius huge. Might try manual mode on next test. Side note, final boss worked perfectly for me.
 
only issue was my team got stuck inside the web (by the eggs) area during queen fight. I didn't interject. Just let them run against the web until it opened back up. Once it did, they ran to the loc and then re-engaged the widow and queen. Other then that, worked great. Killed mummies when they were up np and the LEM worked good. A bit of a butt clincher seeing the echo's path through the group as they were chasing their focus but never had any issues with them.

I'll run it again here in a few hours to see if anything else percolates up.
 
Num this is fantastic. Going to run it a LOT to see if I can find any further issues, but well done sir. Well done. Also, I know nothing about coding etc...so...thanks for taking the time to write this.

Worked, first attempt. I was dragging a couple lvl 120 rogues through with my group geared 125 War, Ber, Clr and Shm. The War died once at very start of the Lich phase, but was back up in an instant. I did run into some pathing issues during the Queen phase, but the script eventually got to her. At one point my tank, who I thought had Lev on, did get stuck in the water fountain thing and required I move him manually, but that was the only time I touched the keyboard. During Shalowain the team ate a couple of Sonic Bangs, but they were able to heal through it. Looking forward to seeing the final product once you have refined. The one thing I didn't like was that it did open the chest for me before I had a chance to stop or pause the Lua, I prefer to do that myself so I can TA other toons in.
 
So ran the test script and noticed it was targeting and running to the lich's power instead of the lich.
Also, would prefer that it attack the widows before the queen. It takes a bit before they become active on target so would move to them and attack them before targeting and attacking the queen.
also still do not like the fact it sets autoassist to 99 I prefer it stay at 100.
I would also suggest engaging mobs before they show on xtarget losing valuable dps time by not doing that.

Failed with this new version. Lich is a nightmare now. Guys are in the drink so much, I have to stop and restart.

there is also some bizarre pathing in two corner area where toons get stuck in by the stairs leading up on both sides, they just run back and forth a ton. This is where I wiped during the shadomin dude. Have to pause then nav stop and get them going again.

Also as mentioned above, we are chasing something called "a lich power" or whatever and not the real lich. So wasted a ton of time/burn/DPS on nothing.
 
I believe it is "Lich`s Power" not "Lich's Power".
also using /nav spawn npc #lich and /target npc #lich will work and ignore the lich`s power.
 
I keep wiping on Shalowain after this last refresh. I'm running the same team I ran through this afternoon using the Lua you had posted to the discussion. I updated via the launcher and have failed 3 attempts in a row. Over those 3 attempts I observed some nav issues during both the Queen and the Lich phases, but I was able to pull through them. I keep wiping now because the team keeps getting blown up.

What issues are you having on spider phase? Can you explain in more detail? What is blowing you up?
 
I wiped on Shalowain on the 3rd try with it. Toons brought the lil purple things right to me. Died in a heap.

That's part of the event if more than one toon is behind the webs to kill the eggs it is supposed to teleport everyone else out. It is buggy though if a toon tries to run past the wabs they get teleported and that is the message to inform you that only one toon is allowed in there.

I'm not sure what that was all about.

That is because the eggs are up. The event warps the spider to a room, each time one 'egg sacs' spawns and needs to be killed... the catch is the room is webbed off so you cant run the group in after its locked down or you trigger the port out which is the message you see in red above. The game mechanic allows 1 player to be pre-positioned in the room before lockdown, more then 1 in the area ports everyone out. Failing to kill the egg sacs spawns an extra spider to kill that will also snare people, snare is bad juju for trying to chase the Lich later.

The common cheese I see most current MQ HoF scripts use is to send pets to kill the eggs, as pets don't get ported. The eggs have high regen, (I suspect the roleplay behind that is the momma spider is right there slinging more protecting web sack material while your trying to rip through it), non-mage pets alone may struggle to beat the regen in time, your mileage may vary. Having a mage in group tips the scales in the right direction for this method.

The advanced cheese I don't see talked about much is that physical ranged damage, like bows and thrown weapons will allow players standing in the right spots to /tar and damage eggs. 4 spots I like to use, but there are others, are the side entries, opposite of the stairwells between floor 1 and floor 2. If you get too close to the web, you will get ported, if you are too far, you wont be able to range attack.

I am still using the V2 release, works like a champ (beat it without a healer earlier). Is the juice worth the squeeze for the patches since then?

thank you for the strategy, have been struggling with getting the Cracked achievement.
Would i be able to run my ranger around manually while this script is active during the queen section or will just keep sending me back to the camp?

Sorry but statements like these do not help me to help you.

What version are you on?
Do you have the updated LEM and do you have any other LEM's active that control movement?
Were your toons not running or was there a nav issue?
Died in a heap?

If my LEM is active it will run the two people called in a large circle around the pavallion. The first name runs for 35 seconds while their 30-second debuff waits to fall off before returning to the group. The purple aura should return to that player and do next to no damage but refresh the other player's aura debuff to 30 seconds again. This is why the second player runs for 70 seconds before returning.

Due to the nature of the mechanics of this fight and me trying to keep this not overly complicated... There will be some RNG to this whole thing that's semi outta my control. An example would be if the lich dies near the first nav point for them LEM and Shalowain runs over there, your group might get clipped from the aura right off the bat. This is rare but can happen.

I'm glad that worked but its odd that I do not get anyone stuck if they all have levitate on. I've considered adding a check for if a player dies to recast it as that can be a problem.

Havent played with the grow aspect yet.

Rare Spawn beat me to it., your stuck in the room with spider and web walls are preventing you from getting back to the XYZ coordinates I'm attempting to nav to. It's not a problem and the script will correct itself when webs come down however the spam is quite ugly.

I have only tested this version one time but many people asked to send pets on eggs. I don't have a pet group so I can't really test it well.

How do I tell if I have the latest version of your lem?
You can always update your Lua's on the reguide launcher however when you start the Lua it prints in your mq2 window what version it is. Alternatively, you can look for this line in the code of the init.Lua inside folder Redguides/Lua/HaFMission

I know alot of the slashes is confusing but where it says \aoV1.5\ax at the end, "V1.5" is the version.
 
Tried running this with 0 intervention on 5 different groups, one got stuck on the stairs and failed to engage the slime, 3 wiped to the spider queen, and the last one failed to engage Shalowain before the mission reset. All 125, all max aa, ~70% Nos tier2 raid geared (however, since KA Bards seemingly don't function at all some groups were effectively 5 chars)
Not very useful feedback-wise, but figured there would be some value in trying these group missions without interference for fun!

As for hopefully more useful feedback it is quite annoying that this, like the other mission Lua, broadcasts to all of your characters rather than just the group -- so if you're playing multiple groups it WILL cause issues. If this isn't easy to fix maybe add a warning on the overview page?

What version are you running? What your group makeup? I'm running mostly group-geared toons and I've never wiped to spider on this. I too got stuck on stairs one time but that is over the course of a lot of runs. I figured it was a mesh issue, not a Lua issue. Also, having a bard with KA running also throws and unknow in the picture too.
 
Finally got this mission completed! I am happy you changed the start location to the Slime. My group didn't engage early but scraped by before getting an add (74s @2.72M). I had zero eggs killed but my crew did target the widows this time. On the last widow the Queen still had 7% health. We were uptop so there was no issue with the Lich. The teleports seemd to be close with nice pathing for group. It dropped in 53s @3.76M. Shalowain was a nail biter though. My crew with the exception of the tank were all blasted to very low health but no deaths. She took 135s @3.08M with burn.

Glad to see it worked well for you. Your damage seems similar to mine overall. On my last run Lich 48s @ 4.14m DPS and Shalowain in 64s @ 6.36m DPS.

Thank you. After looking at settings, I didn't have a burn available. I will manually turn off BurnAlways. I think Shalowain will be much more tolerable. I had too many passes with toons running around which I attribute to the length of engagement.
 
It should be turning burnalways and burnallnamed off at start and then turning burnalways on for lich and continuing through shalowain.
