I have a war enc cle and 3 wiz group with T1 TBM gear+ and am having trouble with that group mission. I think my main issue is around controlling the war. The war and enchanter are using kissassist "tank" and default. My cleric is using autocleric and my wizes are using eoknuke18.

I think my main issues are with the tank. If I do KA manual, I end up dying and if I do normal KA tank I have problems at aspect stage. I have tons of issues controlling the tank with KA tank (mainly switching to aspects from undamage-able state).

I did run it with a friend a few times and that didn't go much better so I'm not sure I even understand what my issues are.

Anyone who does this successfully with group geared chars can comment on strategy?

hmm me thinks a holy that looks for "invulnerable" then does a /switch may do it.... have to think about it a little more...
 
Do a search on the forums here... there are a couple of threads where people talk a lot about their strategies.
 
How far are you getting? I was just working on it tonight and I think I am close. I can get the first mini to spawn, but have wiped every time I have gotten there.
 
pull Anashti Sul to the first pool near zin and dps her + adds to I believe 70% to trigger the 2nd phase. If you are fast enough to trigger the 2nd phase you don't have to deal with the crystals. If crystals spawn you need to kill them before they explode and cause a large zone wide dmg to all players.
During the battle with Anashti Sul she places a self reverse dmg shield on her self. It needs to be dispelled asap as it will heal her significantly as she is damaged. During phase 2, mini's will spawn. Kill the first one in the same pool you tanked Anashti Sul in by the zin. Facing the center of the room from that first pool - When the second mini spawns, kill it in the pool to left of the zin. When the 3rd mini spawns, kill it in the pool to the right of the zin. Basically counter clockwise. When the mini's are dead kill Anashti Sul in that same last pool where mini 3 died. She has a purplish aura, I think I just stayed in that and burned her down in the last pool. 2nd and 3rd phase I kept everyone together and just moved to those specific pools.
 
I tried it about 20 times I think and the furthest I got was killing the third mini but then I was out of mana and couldn't finish the fight. Normally I don't make it nearly that far (although I do get to the first mini pretty consistently without crystals because of wiz DPS).

I tried using the enc and the tank as MA and did experiment with /switch but am not sure I am using it correctly. Ideally, I'd like to get it to switch targets with a keybind on the war since I need to move him around anyway.

This is by far the most challenging thing I've encountered since starting to use RG and a full group.

I will try it again tonight with mcarpe's initial fight location suggestion.

I'll be working on it again tonight. I wrote up some custom events to help with it. If they work well, I'll send them over.
 
It's been a while for me. If I remember right the reverse shield impacted melee only but I used an eqbc command button to tell all of my wizards to annul my tanks target whatever the wizz AA /alt act is etc. as I was manually running the tank while using /bcg //switch to get my crew to follow my target.
I normally don't run the tank manually but I had to this event because when the phases switch, Anshti Sul blurs aggro when the warps to the center and needed to run the tank to get aggro back asap as well as deal with minis.

I created some moveto's for the pools (bcg not bcga because automating tank is really not working for me).
I can get to the last phase now. Starting the fight at the north pool is not as fast (crystals spawn etc) as engaging Anashti directly due to some kind of fup with eoknuke18 dps but it does definitely work. Definitely have to go with manual tank. My issue now is that my wiz's keep dying for whatever reason after the last mini boss dies.

Not sure if this is because not exactly in circle (moveto is not super accurate:( ) or some other mistake on my end)

Thanks, noobhaxor. I changed to that /afollow spawn ${Me.ID} (id was not recognised it is apparently different from /stick) and it makes that part much smoother but my wizs still died. I can at least consistently get that last aspect dead though!
 
Were you able to beat this event? I just barely took down damsel of decay and have started this but not made much progress.
 
EoS is all about DPS. If you're boxing it, it's best to try to beat the mechanics by DPSing her down to below 70% before the crystals spawn. If you can do that, you just have to get everyone to the portals and DPS the minis, then again on Anashti. It's not easy. If you want the wizards to automatically switch targets with your tank, you can try MQ2AFNuke plugin. With 3 wizards, it should be easy to beat the 70% mechanic... Just use Alliance and mana burn. :)
 
I don't think I can get her down to 70% before the crystal spawn. I parsed my groups dps in the first 90 seconds at around 300k. I was really bad at dispelling and just figured out she healed for about 20million due to that. I added the following to hopefully dispell quickly on three chars. Is this syntax right?

Has anyone beat this boxing it? Any special tactics for the boxes, ie things like annul'ing her DS n stuff (as per previous post)?

Just curious what anyone has done for this..

I've tried this on and off for months, never been able to put together a consistently successful box strat for it honestly. Only when I get luck (10% of the time).

Group 1: War/Clr/Brd/Zerk/Zerk/Zerk
Group 2: War/Clr/Ench/Mag/Wiz/Wiz

Here's what's actually worked:

Phase 1:
You have to disspell the Mark of Sul off her- bottom line. She'll heal if you melee her when Mark of Sul is up. So I have a hotkey for Eradicate Magic and I spam that if I see a beneficial buff on her in the first phase.
I ignore the crystals and adds in this phase. I've never beat the crystals in all of my tries and my groups have excellent DPS (Sebilisian gear, EoK chase weapons, etc). The adds can be mez'd by Brd/Ench.
At 70-60% she starts to target people with Poison Blast (it's a delayed "bomb" type spell). This almost always kills me- I can't tell if I need to be in an aura for this or not but I've tried to soak these with everyone stacked. I've tried running away, but if my tank or healer gets targeted it's pretty much a guaranteed wipe.
The mini's you need to drag to the correct portals and DPS down when they are in the right aura's on those portals.
Last phase you just drag her to the purple aura and tank and spank.

In truth what makes this ridiculously hard (to box) is that she constantly teleports to the center of the room and does something. So your tank will be consistently drug off to re-engage her.


I play on Test so TBM is where I've been stuck this year and it's been pretty terrible. You have to complete the three Anashti Sul encounters (Lady of Life, Lady of Decay, Enslaver of Souls) in order to remove the zonewide debuffs in CoS and RoL. Pretty much sucks.

As far as boxing I would say that this is the second hardest encounter. The one that rotates debuffs on characters (Lady of Decay?) is basically impossible without having cure potions with you and doing a lot of downshits.

Thanks, I agree.. Although I was able to do the Damsel of Decay mission with two guildies, and we 2-boxed each in it.. I didnt bother with my zerks on that, instead we used 2x wizzies, because you can stand them in the upper area where you first fight her, and they can (in the right spot) 'see thru' to downstairs n blast from that one spot..

But, ya, a LOT of ping-ponging up and downstairs..

But for this enslaver of souls.. I agree, its this constant warping back to her spawn loc, and me fighting with half my grp to get back to me.. and then to go to the aura locations when those are up.. damn near impossible.. my zerkers are single minded as it is LOL.. they dont wanna listen.. short of /mqp and a /moveto command..

Yeah I really dont know what to do with this one.. We did try the 3 person 2-box each again, but to me it felt worse than when doing the demi decay one.. Just soo chaotic!

This is where im thinking that the stacked wizzies group may work best, just less running n fighting with toons to move to locations than a melee grp..
