I’m looking to setup a 3-4 character group and automate most of it. Tank, healer, 2 spell casting dps. My friend will be slowing.

I’m a little overwhelmed at where to start. It will be on Fangbreaker tlp if that helps.

Get CWTN or RGmercs for your classes and call it a day. Both are pretty close to plug and play.

SIC has some really good guides on setting up hotkeys and keybinds to easily control your group.

I'd also suggest:
Buttonmaster
Magellan
Lootier/Lootly (or use mq2advloot)

In short though, start with Sic's guides in his signatures... all the info you need is there.

I echo what Setsuni said! You won't regret either of them, I run exclusively CWTN plugins and have since probably 2019-2020? Yeah 2020, they are 100% worth every dime and then some. If you want a pop it out the box zero hassle experience+super enjoyable I'd recommend it. I hear amazing things about RGmercs as well. You will be able to do anything in EverQuest with these tools pretty much, I use them for everything you'd probably think of. A++

Kissassist will be the hardest route more than likely and most clunky. Not sure if too many people use that anymore. I remember far back relying on it heavily. But times have changed and we have so many awesome resources, you won't lack. Community is superb in general.

ima 3rd what these guys are saying sic and cwtn have a lot off good stuff as far as hotbuttons and the plugins are absolute fire. pretty easy to manipulate the settings in it as well. i also play on fangbreaker and run mostly cwtn. the RG mercs stuff gets updates daily it seems that keep it running super smooth. i run 18 characters with CWTN plugins and RGmercs. it'll be all cwtn when my wife says i can spend some more money . all of my healers have CWTN plugins so i can't speak to rgmercs for that but if its half as good as some of my melee toons it'll be good. i drive/pull with my bard (cwtn plugin when needed) and pull back to may tank/melee (mostly rgmercs) and it's pretty solid. kisassist is awesome if you take the time to figure out how to manipulate the ini files. takes some time but i could see it being great for tailoring specific fights/group make ups. kisassist has a huge ini library too you can pull from and i think theres some videos around on how to change the inis. plug n play= RGmercs/CWTN. specific tailored spell rotation with conditionals=kissassist.

CWTN plugins make a group effectively plug and play, while also being able to understand what the toon/class is doing should you want to pursue that class as your main/driver.

Everything else was said above as well, but I'd also add Lua Event Manager.

Followed the guide and used rgmercs to start and wow. So easy.

One issue though is that I’m in profire. I changed my wizard nukes to ice and it just didn’t do anything after that?

Taking a guess, you could have interrupted the wizard rememorizing spells after that, try finding the "rescan loadout" button the class tab.
