Tip - Having your Rogue use Hiatus or Breather out of combat even if hidden.

Thought I would offer this up as a tip.

So, I toyed around with this and got some crude coding to work out. I was getting tired of forgetting to click it manually. Now your Rogue will click your disc before going into stealth mode.

In the Kissassist1004e15 file, you can go to line: 10568 and swap Roguestuff for the below code. If you prefer Breather, you can swap out Hiatus for Breather. Rogue is now keeping way better endurance with out manual clicks.

Code:
Code:
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
| SUB: Roguestuff
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Sub Roguestuff

        /if (${Me.Class.Name.Equal[Rogue]}) {
            /if (!${Me.CombatState.Equal[COMBAT]}) {
                /if (${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Hiatus Rk. II]} && ${Me.PctEndurance} < 25) {
                /Echo Time for some endurance Regen!
                /Disc Hiatus Rk. II
                }
            }
        }

        /if (${Me.Class.Name.Equal[Rogue]}) {
            /if (!${Me.Combat} && ${AutoHide}) {
                /if (${Me.AbilityReady[hide]} && ${Me.AbilityReady[sneak]}) {
                    /Echo Stealth Mode Activated!
                    /doability hide
                    /doability sneak
                }
            }
        }
    /return
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
| SUB: LoadSpellSet
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have tested it with no real issues.

Enjoy!

You could slim it down a bit by adding only 3 or so lines to the existing code, and also remove the extra cut and pasted spell set sub comment heading

But it works, thanks for sharing!

Feel free to clean it up, I am not real good at writing code. I left the spell set sub in there just for a reference point.

Well, someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

Breather- is a 90 sec CD and can only be pressed out of combat, but it doesn't have the slow down effect. So, if you're grouping, unless you are chain pulling like crazy, you can have almost infinite end with breather. You just have to click it between kills.

Hiatus- is a 6 min CD, it can be pressed in combat, but you're slowed down as part of the ability too. The only time it's useful is when you're coming back from a rez or you need that last bit of end for a named.

Overall- Since both share the same timer, for the average group player, Breather is infinitely better.

So, for your rogue. Using Breather over Hiatus will let him consistently stay around 25% End, because of the 90sec CD vs 360 sec CD.

Also, I'm not sure about sneak and hiatus, but I know that hitting breather doesn't break invis

Didn't look at cool downs, I thought they had the same time. MQ2 will not click Breather or Hiatus if you are in sneak/hide mode. That was the original issue, hence the code above. You can replace Hiatus for Breather in the code above, so you do not have to click it manually, while your rogue is hidden.

Nice! That's pretty useful

Question: Warning, this may be a dumb question.. But, why would you use Hiatus over Breather?
new answer:
All melee classes - Hiatus can now be activated in combat

Hiatus being activated in combat doesn't really make it better by any stretch of the imagination unless you're doing some hardcore chainpulling and keeping stuff in camp 100% of the time. MQ2Rogue does not use Hiatus, it's not even an option. Doesn't really do any good to get endurance back in combat if I'm slowed 10,000%....might as well just exit combat and park my character through some fights while he regens endurance at that point.

I can count the number of times I've used Hiatus in the last 2 years very easily, 0.
