This is a Guide to getting the not well known about suffix from the quest in W. Freeport. You have two options of suffixes first is “of the Truthbringer” and the Second is “of the Freeport Militia;” However, I’m going to just focus on the first one (the good one).


Step one: “Get the Macro!”

Save as: twogold.mac

Step Two: “Get the Gold!”

I suggest grabbing 5,000 gold pieces. Depending on your faction with these guys already you may need more or less. I did this on my Wood Elf/Druid and it took 4,098 gold pieces.


Step Three: “Find Fabian!”

Fabian is now located, since the revamp of Freeport, at the northern end of the East Freeport docks. In a tavern called “Grub n Grob Tavern.” He is on three factions [Guards of Qeynos], [Knights of Truth], & [League of Antonican Bards]. Discloser: If you are KoS with any one of these I presume you will have difficulty with this quest, perhaps try sneak or an illusion.


Step Four: “Go AFK!”

Target Fabian; open your inventory and type /mac twogold and go AFK and surf some porn for about 3 hours.


Step Five: “Get Your Prize!”

By this time you macro has ended because you faction is max ally with [Knights of Truth] (if not you know what to do!). Now head over to the West Freeport newbie area and at /loc -295, -10 near the PoK Book you’ll find Eirling Elsai.
Simply hail him… and check out you new suffix you win EQ!

It seems that max faction with the Knights of Truth will get you the "of The Truthbringer" title, while max faction with the Freeport Militia will get you "of The Freeport Militia" title.

Unfortunately Fabian doesn't influence Freeport Militia faction with this little trick. So you'll have to go about faction another way.

An Iskar Monk posted on Allakhazam, doing the following minor hunting task (about 197 times), he was able to get max ally with the Freeport Militia. Not sure if this is the best route to go but it is one of them:

Another way is gnoll scalp collecting:

There doesn't seem to be any effective ways to gain Freeport Militia faction in a timely manner (e.g. less than an hour), or without losing Knights of Truth faction in the process (they don't like each other).

well just ofund out after nearly 8000 gold, i max my faction at warmly and cant get this. I am an iksar, anyone have any idea? if i shroud or illusion or clickie alliance item? any ideas?

Even at max faction of warmly, I did get the title on an iksar.

He's really only on the League of Antonican Bards faction, so long as you are okay with him you'll be fine. The other factions are simply linked to to his faction for some purposes.

By the way, you do lose faction with the Ring of Scale factionwhen you do this quest, which is the faction for most of the dragons in Kunark and most of the mobs in Veeshan's peak. You can fix that by slaughtering massive numbers of mobs in Castle Mistmoore if you care about it.

You also lose faction with the mobs in Castle Mistmoore when you do this quest, but who cares?

Sorry for being a newb, searched, but on a time crunch.. i have not used any macro's or anything, because i have been in iraq. but I made a new text doccument folder in the macros folder... named it "twogold.mac" with no quotes. I went to fabian and typed "/mac twogold" no quotes, and many similar things like /mac twogold.mac and i always get the error "Couldn't open macro file: C:\Users\computername\Desktop\Jmo's Compile\macros\twogold.mac what am i doing wrong.. its been forever maybe i just forgot something simple?

i modified this slightly for rogues or anyone who needs Circle of the Unseen Hands faction.. just got me up to ally - handing 3 gold to Raz the Rat Misk in south qeynos

yeah i was just stating that my slight changes in the code let me give 3 gold instead of 2 for a different faction
