Just thought I would share this guide on how to install your windows user folder on a separate drive.

I like to keep my OS, Programs, Games, and data all on separate drives.

Since the user folder contains documents, downloads, app data and such I like putting it on one of my data drives.

While I like this idea, wonder if it has any downsides like people hardcoding things need to be on C:.

User folder also holds applications and OS data. Oh the horror.

I just move my documents/etc dirs

For most people:

Right click on Documents and choose "Properties"
Click on the Location Tab
Click Move
Select a Folder
Click Okay

(Repeat with other folders you want like Downloads, Pictures, Music, Videos, Desktop, etc)
No registry editing required and you can always move it somewhere else without a lot of hassle.
