Leveling - Guide - Neriak 4th Gate (Level 100)

Neriak - Fourth Gate is a T1 CoTF zone

You will need to attune to this zone. To do this, you must enter the zone through Neriak Third Gate, then click on the Portal to Ethernere Tainted West Karana inside Neriak Fourth Gate. Once you do this, you will be attuned and can now use the portal to enter.

Note: If you are a Dark Elf or illusioned as a Dark Elf, you are non-KOS in this zone. All other forms are KOS. You can gain a permanent Dark Elf illusion for this zone by completing its first partisan task, The Missing Scroll. This partisan task has prerequisites that mean you basically need to have completed most everything in ETWK and DH before getting this task. However, if someone else has done the task you can ask them to get it for you since it is a group task. Once you have the task, it takes about 30 minutes to complete.

This zone is more trafficked than other zones due to it being the latest expansion. Be cautious if you plan to fully afk here.

Invis up and head to the area marked with a red circle on the first/larger map I've attached.

When you reach the spot marked with a yellow circle on the second/close up map attached, you'll either need IUV or to carefully work your way around the undead mobs to get to the camp. Camp is marked with a green circle, right near some larger rocks. As I said, these mobs are undead so some of you with uber undead slaying powers will really like this spot. You should also watch out for the pathing guards near the building. Should you decide you do not want to kill them, just be sure to add them to your ignore list (/addignore mobname). If you kill particularly fast, you may find yourself out of mobs. If this is the case you can move slightly north along the wall.

I've also posted another, less safe camp spot with the orange circle in the northern area of the map. This area has a bigger chance of adds, and also has the named Ryzok D`Tols`s Remains. He is not all that difficult, but does cast an 80% spell/melee slow spell. He has only ever dropped the monk weapon for us, so I don't worry about camping that more dangerous spot.

Does anyone else have a problem with the puller not targeting the mobs behind the pillars that he cant see? I watched someone do a full clear of the "Green" area and i could tell by movement it wasnt them doing the work. But I cant even get any of toons to pull the mobs if they arnt Line of site. I know its not a Z range problem because that is up and down correct?
 
Works fine for me when i use mq2nav. The real issue for me is it only kills about 20 mobs every 15m its not bad but doing it by myself i can clear 300 an hr here.
 
Hmm I have mq2Nav and the Mesh file I downloaded about 3 days ago. I have an old ini i use because im lazy maybe if i post it someone can see something I might have wrong.

I think William means you either need to download the other mesh file or update the one we have and save it as D.
 
I redownloaded the file from here it is still labeled as neriakc so I renamed it to neriakd but it wants a starting point now. Lol FML

Well i deleted that file and decided to put my big boy pants on and followed the guide that is here and it walked me through it and it now works like a charm. Thanks everyone for your help!
 
ya saving it as D aint going to work :) C means they did a mesh of the wrong neriak zone so it would not work :) I did my own also.

Anyone else having the puller target mobs inside the building trying to pull them ? Wonder if there is a way to stop it from doing that.
 
change the pull radius to really low, cant remember what it is also setup slightly to the right of where the camp is marked. I think mine was 325. You cant /addignore name here because the name has a ' in it for example Guard Ral'Tas. Not sure how to fix that issue but thats why it will still target them even if they are on ignore.

Ya ill have to figure something out looking for a spot that can kill 30+ every respawn.
 
I figured out how to get it to only pull trash outside the building. Code the ignore section to ignore all dark elfs. (every npc in there as i can tell is a dark elf). I just have to go into kiss and add the code.

So I figured this out with some help from Eqmule. So far it's been going for 30 minutes has not tried to pull one dark elf/guard. It will not pull the roaming guards. If they do aggro though it should kill them. I also made it so this only effects pulling in neriak fourth gate so it will not effect any other zone. I will post the added code to kiss after a few more hours if i dont get any issues.

Looking at 75-100 mobs an hr with good dps.

So 4 hrs in and working great. Depending on where you setup you need a pull range of 600-700. Figure someone might want this for double xp so here you go.

Thanks for posting that William!! At the time of posting that guide, I was killing so slowly that I never ran into the issues that others have. It might be worth someone making a mesh that will completely block out the castle so that your puller will pull mobs from around it. Not sure if that will work, but it's an idea.
 
tried to make a Mesh file but it does not have the neriak 4th gate map in the options .. Is it labeled something else ?

It's NeriakD, but it should show up as Neriak - Fourth Gate in EQNavigation (at least did for me).

Awesome guide eqGeek, mad props. Has anyone pulled any chase loots out of here? Just curious, I've ran it off and on for the past couple weeks for about 2 days worth of total time here.

Lastly, what are people using to pull this? I'm using mq2nav and it works pretty well, but won't pull the two mobs (red circles) marked on map around other side of the stalacmites from pull spot. It'll run close but won't ever get LOS and will abandon. I've tried Monk using AA (Distant Strike) and summoned daggers; assuming this is probably my nav file?

I've only managed one chase loot since they removed them from HAs and that was from a named in Ethermere.
 
I've heard of three people who have pulled a rare off of Shoon/Roon. I've killed him a hundred times and no such luck.

is it possible that you have those mobs in your ignore file? Or does your toon target it and run to pull it but give up?

The latter, attempts to pull but doesn't clear stalacmite for LOS and gives up. Going to try redoing my mesh file; I think I used cell size 0.5 and tile size 80 in order to get it work last time. Will see if I can make it a little tighter.
 
On my server, one of those mobs was unpullable also. I thought it was under the world though. I manually tried to pull it and never could see it... Let me know if your mesh fixes it.
 
It now pulls the farther mob, but still won't pull that first one. Absolutely tighest I could get the mesh was like cell size 0.43 and tile size 64.
 
I tried this spot tonight and 2 things I noticed, 1 was my tank kept doing, searching for close range mobs when there were some out there and 2 there were just not many mobs at that spot.....
 
Make sure you have the right mesh file so it will pull the mobs. Also, you are right. If you kill fast you'll run out of mobs. The point of this is for farming rares mostly.
 
Does anyone have a neriakd mesh file with stop points they could share for this camp?
 
just trying this spot tonite, and tank just stands there "looking for close range mobs" even if i pull manualy he just stands there letting them hit on him, any ideas?

scots same thing I get there everytime, I just tried to do my own mesh will retest it and see if this fixes the issue, this is the only place I get "looking for close range mobs" and no action....

did my own mesh file, didnt work, redownloaded maps from eqresource and redid mesh file still same problem, got mobs standing a hands breadth from me and it wont pull them, just says "looking for close range mobs"
 
yeah I tried it too and same results, I am getting the exact same thing happening in Chardok today as well, "looking for close range mobs" even as I get beat upon and he never engages as pullertank
 
so no one has a working mesh file for neriakD? ive done my own mesh but tank still stands there spamming "looking for close range mobs" so woudl truly appreciate any help

have tried him on hunter mode, as well as pullertank but just no luck

have done and still wotn work, tried restarting computer etc and nothing, just stands there looking for close range mobs and buffing himself, have even renamed ini and tried with a blank one.

am i missing something obv? do i need to do anythign other than use /plugin mq2navigation to get mq2nav to work?

I have the exact same problem in 2 zones including this one I gave up running kiss there but I would love to find the fix for it....

I had an Epiphany last nigth as i lay in bed lol, check your Kissassist_info.ini file, I found this -

which obv means puller will ignore every single mob in zone, changed Mobstopull to ALL and its working great.

ok am now getting another problem, MQ2 reports

MQ2 i am stuck aborting pull.

now am assuming he is trying to pull mobs in side the building that i cant see, any way round this?
 
that sounds like a mesh issue, I would try a new mesh

I'm getting similar results. My puller runs around like he's about to pull a mob, stops, No end reference, runs to another spot, no end reference, runs back to camp, and MQ2 states I am stuck aborting pull.
