Question - Griklor The Restless EW mission

Hello

I was looking to attempt Griklor the Restless Eastern wastes mission in ToV expansion.

Is it possible to defeat that mission without following the emotes ? or you must have some movement of toons ?

Can you win the mission with a straight burn of named and adds ?

Reason I ask is because not good at fighting and moving toons around when boxing

Any ideas or help , thanks

you have to get him to come to the ground, so yes, there is some requirement of doing the script - there is a video/guide in my signature (use the griklor 2.0)

You have to follow emotes or the boss never actually becomes attackable.

You don't need to move the entire group. There is one character who gets named and there is enough time that you can alt-tab to that character and run him into position manually.

You can use the 'follow me' button in the group tab to get everyone to follow your tank around and then just burn when he drops.

If you stand on the hill just to the right of the main gate where the request NPC is and time the start phrase as Griklor passes before the gate you can get away with not having to move. You might need to practice the timing but it isn't too difficult. Killed him dozens of times this way.

Do *not* use Follow Me while trying to fight and do combat stuff. It will conflict with your automation macro or plugin. You want to be using the Chase functionality of w/e automation you're using.

But honestly, for this mission, just setup camp in the open area and tab over to w/e character gets called and use them to pull the boss back to the group when he drops.

Yeah sorry I guess I forgot to say turn off follow me when Grik drops. Chase stuff is probably a better idea, but I just do vorpal and use the follow me when I need.

Set up your camp at the end of the log on the right as you enter the fort. I put my guys in a line with two in front of the log and the other four at the end of the log (aligned toward the fort). You want to be lined up so Grik flies over your head.

Then have your tank go over and start the script. Say "ready" just as Grik is flying overhead of the left side of the gate (waiting until Grik is in the right position is critical). Run back to your spot in the line. Grik will fly over your team once and give you the emote. Then on the second pass we will drop down (sometimes it takes three passes).

Beat him down at that spot. If your dps is good enough you will get him in one drop. If not, he will fly back up but will come back down so you don't need to chase him at all.

Basically watch Sic's 2.0 vid.

What really helped me was making sure the toons were on switchwithma. The first time I left Griklor targeted and didn't realize this was my issue and they were running around grabbing adds, preventing him from dropping. The Edit* third time* (second is where I realized that was the issue, but that whole thing was borked and I wiped out on purpose anyway) I parked where the above posters have said, kept my SK in Sic Tank til he got the emote, when he dropped and got lucky enough to 1 drop him (had I not, I'd of cleared my target and stayed where I was).

I'm not the best boxer, but hopefully this helps

If you hail and start the script when Griklor is in the 11oclock position then he will emote and the shards should fall by the South East area just a bit above the log, that way you can stand there and don't have to move at all once you get the timings right.
