Going Postal (Erudin to Qeynos) - Automates the "Going Postal (Erudin to Qeynos)" Quest. Easy money (6g per run).

The attached macro will completely automate the Quest Going Postal (Erudin to Qeynos). This quest grants 6gp per run.
  • Macro can be run on any character that can roam freely around Qeynos, Erudin and Erud's Crossing.
  • If you want to run it on any character, move to South Qeynos and start the macro.

NobodyKnows updated Going Postal (Erudin to Qeynos) with a new update entry:

Added SurefallGlade -> Qeynos delivery

Just added another delivery-option: Surefall Glade -> Qeynos.

Please note that the mac only supports characters created in Surefall Glade (for Surefall->Qeynos route) due to there not being a Soulbinder and them being bound right in front of the entrance to Surefall (making the mac still viable).

Mac should also work with any other (non-kos) character if they are bound in qeynos hills.
If one is bound in surefall - but without changes the mac will wait for a 99 second timeout after...

I will see if I can add some more before the new TLPs start. The current selection should help with spreading attention a bit thinner than if we just had one route available.

But for now ... I need some sleep yawn
 
Seems to get a little hung up in Erudin, just before taking the portal/ floor pad to Ticar Lorestring. Will stand just before the pad and not continue. Once I manually step on the pad and get close to Ticar it continues as normal.
I'll see if I can narrow down what is causing it for me.
Otherwise excellent macro. Good job.

Seems to have something to do with the window not being my focus. Maybe FPS being set too low in background or MQ2EQWire, or something.

That could well be though.
Those teleporter pads are a horrible pain :-(

We are talking about the large portal pad going up to ticar?

Edit: I think I got that covered.
Will be in the next release (but will try to add a few more things grin).

Added routes, changed logic

  • Added newbie characters for Akanon. They work for Ak'anon->Kelethin.
    • One run (respawn from suicide to next suicide) takes about 7:45 minutes for me (without casualties). Consider getting a bind closer to Lyra Lyrestringer
  • Added newbie characters for Freeport. They work for Freeport->Kelethin.
    • One run (respawn from suicide to next suicide) takes about 10 minutes for me (without casualties). Consider getting a bind closer to Ton Twostring

Accidently broke the gnomes earlier. They are back in the swing again! Those little BUGgers ...

At this point I don't think I will be adding any more postal routes (unless I feel like it).
Looking at how many characters are "lined up" in qeynos and erudin already this makes me wonder if DGC truly won't do anything about it lol

And please - you don't need to multiply the say-lines for translocatos. I rewrote it so that it will make sure you get ported sooner or later. :)

And don't miss the option to mem Selo's on bards at level 5 (the mac will remind you continuously though).
Buy it, mem it, be faster.

considering how many toons are running this mac i should have added an auto-tip-function lol Like 10% courtage of your earnings to one of my toons giggles

Changed start routine to compensate typos

Due to "popular demand" snicker

Now trying to compensate delivery-route-selection-typos (like /mac postal Ak'Anon instead of /mac postal akanon).
Only works for zones where you could create supported toons though.

This also eliminates the auto-selection of Erudin->Qeynos in case of /mac postal.
If you are in either of the starting zones for toons in Qeynos or Erudin it will still work as before. No worries there!

Very popular on rizlona by the looks of it, ran it for a bit, was planning on leaving it going but I have enough to cover my spells for now so I think I'll rest it. I think this will draw a bit of heat alright, reckon it might be best to lay low till things blow over for now.

Well done though, excellent macro. Well executed.

that is why i added other options.
while qeynos/erudin might be the fastest ... if you can get a bind for the toon on other cities they might well be worth a try because often the run from bind -> pickup is a bit lang. (but then: felwithe / kelethin is about no risk but less money. akanon/kelethin isn't that bad either, while kaladim has a risk with greenbloods).

If someone is still running a version dated 27th or older: UPDATE asap! You are missing out on some interesting stuff like:
  • more zones :-)
  • better handling of translocators
  • cleaning up corpses once you are high enough in level
  • Using SELO's (only have to mem it!)
 
FYI - DreamWeaver has told folks to petition people afking this. so be warned this is on the radar and there will be action on it
 
This quest seems to have been nerfed into oblivion. So even if you weren't going to automate it and just run a few laps to get some spell plat that's no longer an option.

The hand in guy in Qeynos has been depopped on Thornblade and I tried with a gnome and the quest giver has some message about only being able to do it once basically.

Looks like its a no go if there's ever a future boxing TLP. Great macro though, well written.
