Hi All,
I did a search for this and did not find it posted anywhere. I have found this extremely useful, so I will share;
This is intended for folks who do not wish to risk using /zone /gate, etc...
Since TSS came out, you can get to Cres Reach with your /claim'd port item, but if you are not a dru/wiz or don't have one with you and you can't gate, then you are either going to have to waste a gate potion or run all the way through an adjacent zone, Blightfire Moors to get to the closest PoK book.
This is even worse for young toons since they catch aggro from all of the crap in Blightfire while trying to run to the book. Also, in their infinitely shitty wisdom, SOE made it so that if you own the TSS expansion (and the expansion is active, i.e. not progression servers) then leaving the Tutorial via the exit, regardless of your selected home city, puts you into crescent reach. /boggle.
Now, before I figured out what I am going to tell you, I ate many deaths running to the book on my lowbies, and spent time begging druids to port over and get me... anyway, to the point;
If you have the Omens expansion, in the main hall of Crescent Reach, their is a hallway in back with several doors side by side in a hallway. Inside one of these little doors is the Priest of Discord. (You can also /tar Priest, and follow your map line). Hail him and say, "I wish to go to discord". As you know, at this point the PoD will TL you to Dranik's Scar. At the place where you port in to Dranik's Scar, there are several other PoDs... immediately walk over to one of the others and say, "Go Home".
When you do this, ordinarily, the PoD TLs you back to the PoD whom originally TL'd you to Dranik's Scar in the first place, however, in the case that you came from the Crescent Reach PoD, it does not send you back to Crescent Reach, instead it sends you to PoKnowledge. Thusly, you can be back in PoK in about a minute without using /zone or /gate and without worrying about that nasty run.
I hope this is good info for someone, and if it has already been posted somewhere, my apologies.
Cheers,
Melon
