I'm about to start leveling up my SK and the rest if his group somewhere else since xp is drying up where they currently are. SK is 106 and when I move them his supporting cast (clr shm brd wiz wiz) will be 100 with a possible exception of swaping a wiz out with a 90ish mage. EoK is new content to me so looking for opinions on where to start between FM and LC. SK has mostly 106-110 con gear, the others are 90-95 gear. SK was able to molo (with healer) gobs and trees in FM at 105, but didn't try names.

I skipped FM and went to Chardok BK camp. 4 named nearby to gear up alts and with cleric and shaman should all be easy kills but BK

I actually found FM easier than LCEA. There are some good named camps that once you break them can just keep rotating around. Used to be packed but not so much anymore. In fact I make a point to take my alts to FM for the armor - level 105 and 4k hp be good for your lower guys. And I was still getting good exp many levels beyond.

I found the Yeti in the cave ok in LCEA but the Stone Dove is nasty and will mez you and those spiders are just not worth it.

If you want to grind - then maybe try out mq2grind Plugin - you'll be 120 in no time.

Grinding Sucks - and gm used to check afk in FM.

If you are camping some Aug or a weapon like Honed Wyrmslayer the eok and ros has some camps.

Look them up and concentrate of AC augs for your tank.

I am considering getting grind, but I'm wanting to find something easy first. My bots are in 2k gear mostly, sk is mostly 4.6kish

Lcea was more difficult then FM for grinding until my tank was closer to 110 from what I recall.

So depends on what you are using to power level. I have raid level groups to do It and my chars start with 100 heroic. I basically do 100-105 in FM then move to mq2grind GMM. Pretty much go to 112 then do missions + collections. Hit 120 in about 20 hours.

with this said what are some spots that Gm's wont really care about instance's or any of that
There's always a risk of a GM popping up anywhere. The more popular botting zones tend to get more attention mainly from players reporting and such (Lceaneum, Charrasis, Great Divide, and Eastern Wastes). Best is to try and not look like a bot group, don't AFK play, and interact and be courteous to random players that might swing by so not to trigger a potential /report from them.

Oh, and a dead giveaway is having a full group or more pathing exactly the same when running through PoK or GL. I tend to run 3 toons to a destination, drop a campfire and bring the rest of my group in that way.

The terrain in FM is less than desirable. It seems to cause me more issues than the mobs. I had issues with bots not engaging due to a rock or poor visibility, which seems to be a thing in that zone. I had an area yesterday where it worked great, but today was different. Might try Lceanium later today, or someplace else. I just want someplace quite so I can tweak my ini's. Not looking for names or big drops. Vendor loot is fine while I tweak more and level slowly. I do occasionally afk, but generally i'm at my keyboard. May also look to get started with mq2grind.

I like going between the sarnark forts in fm on hunter mode with the radius just outside of the forts due to multiple pulls and pathing you get venturing inside them. Lvling a 90s mage /enchanter with my 119 ranger who is getting almost .100 each kill with lesson and vitality so not great but not horrible lol

That's not a bad idea. Are you using class plug-in, or KA or both? I am considering going with just my SK and 2 boxes instead of the full group

Just ka atm for my team..may switch over to the plugins if I get the expansions come October. My babies just stand around Invis on chase mode so don’t really do much lol

My thing, I like to find either an out of the way or hard to reach spot. Being out in the open in a frequented area like FM always made me nervous.

Go to places people have a hard time soloing to…that dont have any nameds, quests, or anything valuable…like scorpuons in overthere…no one wsnts to fightvthose or go down therr

I have always wondered if those were worth the xp. Have you ever tried them? I might try them next weekend.

FM the adds in the other zone suck. Especially the Spiders. You may think you're pulling 1 and get 5. You can level those guys all to 111 or better in Frontier Mountains. Maybe 113 if you push it.

I recently came back to the game after being gone and having not played any expansion past serpents spine really. I took a group of Autogrant AA, Augless, Attunable only garbage characters to 120 without much of a plan at all. Hope this helps.

80-90 in Rathe Council Chambers
90-95 Morell's Castle (Many posts about this on RG)
95-100 in Beasts' Domain (Farming in the field, random mobs)
100-105 in Plane of Shadow (Yolo went to a zone, set up a camp and didn't move)
105-110 in temple of droga (Again, picked a zone randomly and set up a camp. this was by far the fastest 5 levels)
110-115 in Sathir's Tomb
115-120 using mq2grind in GD mission.

This was done 100% afk utilizing nothing but the automation available on redguides. I only played the characters when I was finding a new spot to grind in, clearing to a new camp etc. I upgraded gear every 5 levels using the remnant gear in plane of health. After 105, the group got one round of upgrades for attunable 110 gear then nothing else after that. The group was all gold membership so they got all the AA's every time they leveled but no one had any AA's after 110.

Terrible group comp too, I only leveled them for buffs. (War/Clr/Shm/Mag/Enc/Rng)

This is the way Darkitecht! I suspect a big advantage of your approach was that you kept everyone on AA autogrant.

Before mq2grind what did you use? KA, any plugins, luas?

With KA it is a bit of pain of updating .inis when leveling. By that I mean, you are in a groove, stuff is dying, xp is flowing, but you can't resist playing around with .inis and fine tuning every level..

So I suppose one way it so upgrade .inis at the same time one runs scriber which would be every 5 levels.

Man I just haven't had luck there. I always seem to mess up visibility when setting up camp. I was able to knock out a named plus 2 add with only my sk and shaman and mag when I accidentally wiped everybody else in my group, that gave me some hope for my future 3 man :)

What I've been doing is only updating ini files every 5 levels-ish at least for my boxes. I feel the pain when I do that though because it seems to take me 20 or 30 min per toon minimum, and that's just getting heals / buffs / dps. More complex stuff obviously takes longer to tweak, and plus I'm just a slow old fart.

As Tomahawk said yeah it's all about updating Ini's every 5 levels. you don't need to micromanage them every level. Basically I just treated every 5 levels as a break point. check power sources, fix ini, and yeah it would take 3-4 hours to do all of this, then find a new grind spot, but the time to prepare was worth the outcome I believe.

If you're willing to invest money, the CWTN plugins remove any setup and level up with you as you level up, the only thing you need to do is buy spells. Very worth if you intend to use those classes a lot. However, Kiss was what I used otherwise.

An alternative spot to grind exp could be scorched woods, there is a sarnak fort by the chardok zoneline, theres also a few spots to set up in throughout the zone and it gets passed over for LC and FM by many people. I've went into chardok a few times and grinded at the far north area of the bottom level, I cant quite remember the camp off hand.

You could also try the Gates of Kor-Sha and post up on a wall, this zone isn't as popular these days either.

@tomahawkeer - just keep in mind that this is terrible advice.

AFKing isn't supported and is actively discouraged at redguides.

if you afk you absolutely run heightened risk to your accounts.

I'm not the cops I don't care what you do - you hate your toons and want to risk it, sure knock yourself out - but encouraging other people do to this is a bad idea

Ohhh no, I understand. I don't do a lot of afk stuff. I did the other day just messing around, but im generally at my keyboard for work and other things and messing around.

not that my opinion matters, I was just giving tips on where to go at the various level ranges and what worked for me as a returning player. I was not trying to encourage people to bot overnight. My friends and I in our circles use the term AFK and AUTOMATE synonymously. The only reason I even used the word AFK in the post was to point out that it was a low maintenance leveling path. No tweaking required, pullertank and away we go.

I also wouldn't encourage you to automate to the point that you don't have your finger on the pulse of what your characters are doing. Leave them on the background while you're working from home or whatever don't leave them on overnight. I felt this didn't necessarily need to be said but here it is.

Two things you should be most careful about on these forums....Statements about AFK Playing and MQ2B**D. Adjust verbiage accordingly....

Personally I would avoid FM. I have only received a suspension one time. I was using a healer with xtarget healing for my brother. I was at the keyboard and we were chatting while he was leveling a few toons. I was hit as well as two of his. I am fairly certain it was a reported incident as one ranger kept coming over. I know he uses that area to PL. It's been quite some time since I have seen any chat about people PL anywhere but I still avoid FM. Yeti caves in Lc are good to me. I pop LoTD and kill all. With campfire set I use drunkard stein or bulwark to stop buff timer. When respawns hit, campfire in and repeat.

Any time I level overland I read leveling guides and flat out strike those from my list. I'd rather level slower and out of the way.

Can't tell you the times I have been to a zone and seen it. Cheaters know cheaters. very obvious. And for the love of God unstack your team.

As other said run 3 campfire. But i add in a stagger normally sent them to different zones. /travelto pofire then move them where I want another to bazaar and third direct travel.

Also, as a rule of thumb if a guide online says go there for uber Leet exp it's scratched off my list. If i see it so does everyone else. For me mq2 is don't disrupt others and I'm cheating so if someone shows offer to leave. Make an excuse etc. Hey I have x camp broke I got my last drop want it? half the time I get Naa I'm good or a hearty thank you. and by avoiding those popular area's you have less interactions. until you can /grind and rarely see a soul other than the other 5-10 groups flipping.

this Last Sunday i did triple Restless Assault woke up bot group in the undead Coldain cave noon cave evening cave...... guess what Monday cave. betting they are in the cave still when I get off. Now I saw them because well I'm a cheater also. mix things up. My main thought was if any agro player saw them that's begging to be petitioned.

in Lceanium i always had big problems because of mobs the summors. I had tried out several places in the south area and then left that.

I have been doing my grinding sessions in Lceanium, and for me, its been really good. Easy pulls, wide open and I don't think i've seen anybody when i'm there. XP has gotten my SK to 109 and my group is currently 105/106 with the exception of my mage, who was behind everybody currently at 99 but she was late to the party! Once I work out the kinks with my bard mez in KA, ill probably work get the grind check it out. Hell ill probably just start doing the quests manually with my guys, just to do it. Ive basically reached my goal with my group in Lceanium with the exception of my mage, I wanted her at 100, but it wont take long.
