We’ve heard the clamoring!

Introducing Fippy Fest 2024!

Share On:

Feb 22, 2024

When the thought of a role-playing game with multiple online users playing simultaneously in lands called Norrath first dawned on the brilliant minds of game developers in the 1990s, no one would have dared imagine that we would still be celebrating the creation of EverQuest® 25 years later! This wonderful game we all love has helped pave the way for MMOs around the globe to this very day! This includes EverQuest® II, which celebrates its second decade! With such a banner year upon us for both games, we want to dip our proverbial toes back into the waters of get-togethers, but in a more digital sense.
While in-person events are great, we would like more of you to be able to join us in celebration of these feats. Therefore, we're honored to host the very first digital Fippy Fest on June 15th, 2024! Tune in as we look to the past and forward to the future of these games. We are planning on Q&A panels akin to those at Fan Faire's of the past. While watching the stream will not require ticketed access, every purchasable edition will include access to ask questions LIVE** AND some sweet digital in-game loot to show off on top.

While we are focused on the digital aspect of this first Fippy Fest, we also plan to have a very limited number of tickets available for in-person attendance of the event and some pre-livestream activities. Mingle and chat with staff, meet some of the team helping to keep the games we all love alive, and ask questions live and in-person to the game team! We are keeping the in-person event small and intimate as we delve back into the realm of in-person events.
Tickets for both the digital and in-person events will go on sale on February 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. PST. Keep your eyes peeled for the link!
A hearty THANK YOU from all of us to all of you for continuing to make the EverQuest® Franchise thrive with your support and loyalty! We look forward to continuing this relationship long into the future! We could not do what we love without you all playing the games you love! Here’s to 25 more years!
**Q&A questions will be read in the order they are received. All questions may not be read due to the number, length, and available time. Daybreak Games employees reserve the right to remove questions that we deem are abusive, inflammatory, or otherwise inappropriate.

Which, really dumb to not release WHERE it will be hosted or how much in person tickets will be. really hard to determine if I'm gonna do FFXIV fan fest system stepup to try to get tickets without that information.

This reminds of how I sign my kids up for swimming class..I have to be at the computer at 6 am on a date and fight online to scramble to choose a class and day/time that my kids can attend, but its all at a moments notice and I am fighting every other parent wanting the same thing. The classes fill up in seconds and often, afterwards, parents call in saying I screwed up, I chose a swim time when my kid is still in school...

For those interested..... you can visit the office and get a "I went to Fippy Fest and all I got was this lousy t-shirt". I jest..partially.

We know you’ve all been waiting for some details about all the fun we have in store for you during Fippy Fest this year. While some details are still being finalized, we can provide more details now about the Ambassador Edition ticket experience and souvenirs.

The in-person Fippy Fest event will begin on Friday, June 14, 2024. Upon check-in you will receive your unique collectible badge, a specially curated Swag Bag, limited-editions of hand-numbered posters of Norrath from EverQuest and EverQuest II, a Fippy Fest T-shirt and hoodie, and additional other surprise collectible goodies. We will enjoy a meet and greet, a signing party where you can get your collectible posters signed, an exclusive tour of the office where the magic happens, and multiple chances to interact one-on-one with the dev team.

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, we will open with our Keynote to showcase our long and storied game history, fantastic moments in-game to date, tease some cool stuff, and deliver announcements about what’s coming up. We’ll then have some more panels for more Q&A from both games for both our in-person and online participants. Meanwhile, our in-person attendees will receive a more personalized experience with many opportunities to converse with the developers and get an inside look at what goes into developing these legendary games.

We will provide continental breakfasts and catered lunches on both days, a catered dinner, as well as a fancy, fantasy-themed dinner, all with the developers. There will also be a ton more fun sprinkled throughout both days while mingling with the game teams and fellow gamers with chances to take selfies or reels of the entire magical weekend!

Please keep in mind in-person attendance is very limited and a third of the tickets are already sold. Don’t wait too long to secure your spot to celebrate the Year of Darkpaw with 25 years of EverQuest and 20 years of EverQuest II!

If going to this is anyone's thing, please just take my jesting as nothing more than poking fun.

For that price... I'd be expecting two cheap San Di-AH-go hotties as Firiona and Antonia, IN COSTUME mind you..for my ahem..sleepover.

hmmm... would it be faux pas to wear a custom Redguides shirt to an event like this.... :)

-Taz
It would be SOOOOO worth it...just make sure its filmed for posterity, and our laughs, at the inane shouts of the purists who still act like five year old temper tantrumIng that MQ Botters are killing the game...a death knell over 25 years I guess... /giggity
