I've been making a good bit of plat on CoTF rares from DH camps, but I hear some servers are really crowded there. Made about 10 million plat in a couple of weeks.

I'm a big fan of the other beach, in Chelsith reborn. Its so far out of the way, just like Morrells is. but Befouled silks sell AWESOME on my server and diamond drops are plentiful as well.

Purity of chasitys sell for 700k each on mine can get 10 a week easily in brothers island.

Generally speaking BI is more travelled than the other beaches and DH. But yes, this Oaths of Marr and Purity of Chastity augs sell for insane peices because they're still relevant.

Even the best Tank powersource Geomantic Steelstone will give a roughly 3AC 20hp gain going 25->30 purity.


The player made Tradeskill powersources give half or less than that. You gain 1AC from Pure Energeian Metal Orb

I think a lot of EQ players are inherently min/max players (or people). Why else would you devote hours and hours and hours and hours going through progression missions or camping a single AC aug that upgrades your shield aug by 10 AC?

Yeah it's just that many raiders are so min/maxed that they're out of ANY other meaningful upgrade. Those purity augs are outrageously rare for most people who can't AFK or let their chars play themselves while they relax.

Yup, totally. And on my server I've seen people offering 1mil (or more) for those augs.

Yup definately the min maxers, once u get the best equipment then grind for ac augs, get the best, then slot 5 , then that extra ac from the 30 purity

I have HAD 0 LUCK with oath of marr and purity cause I spent 8 24 hour days in Chaptehouse and not a damn thing I spend a week in BI not a damn thing lol so if you don't wanna share how send me a PM id love to figure out what I'm doing wrong

try any HOT zone or any of the zones off Shards Landing, TONS of Gems FAST! My group in Morells makes me 1.5mil in vendor trash a week AND I use it to level toons too! (from 75-105)

You guys are all doing it wrong imo. 1.5m a week is damn slow. I can do 1.5m-2m every 3-4 days just in bazaar. The trick is to NEVER EVER to sell to a buyer and setup your own trader. Since the introduction of Krono, I've probably acquired over 2000 Krono since they went live. With over 500 in the first month when they were going for 150k each.

I used to run 13 traders and 2 buyers in bazaar because it was feasibly to upkeep that many traders and bring in 35+ m pp a month. Due to the price of Krono going up, I've had to drop alot of traders and cut it back to 3-4 traders. The best month I've had in the last 4-5 years was when RoF went live, made over 70 mill pp that month (2 mill per glowing spell rune sold those extremely fast first month). But thats' the past, lets talk about the present. Since you guys think 1.5m a week is a good rate.



Presently,

I can easily do 1.5-2m every 3-4 day on weekdays with 4 traders. Weekends about 3-4 mil pp. Double exp weekends can be 6-10 mill pp as a lot of players come back back so more people buying stuff. I'm averaging about 15-16 million pp a month over the last 9 months. Summer months are slow..., I expect to go back to 25-30 mill a month first 2-3 months expansion goes live. That's enough to acquire 10-15 krono a month to fund my 4 traders and 6 main toons.


And I forgot to mention the BEST part about all this. Acquiring pp while completely AFK legitimately.

As I said, NEVE EVER sell to a buyer no matter how tempting the price might be and setup a trader and don't put junk worth less than 25k pp in value on your trader, as that's barely ~1% the value of the current price of Krono

Someone mentioned Befouled Silk he sells to buyers, bad idea. Think its a good idea to sell to a buyer for 1000 pp per silk , when the trade price is 3500 pp per silk? You just lost 225% in profit....

Think its a good idea to sell Tantalum ore to a buyer for 25 pp per ore, when the trader price is 300pp, you just lost 1200% in profit....


Once you start figuring out the above, you can step up to the next level of acquiring pp -- Monopolizing and price gouging the bazaar for weeks at a time.


EDIT: Forgot to mention, I haven't payed for a EQ sub since Krono went live, all due the fact I've kept traders up 24/7 in the bazaar to farm plat. Only thing I pay for is EQ expansions.

Luclin is live? Without the bazaar zone its a nightmare trying to be a seller/buyer. Although, if you have the time, you could easily make a ton of Krono on TLP by buying cheap and selling high in chat channels (if Luclin isn't live). I hear Kronos are flooded on TLP servers, much harder to acquire Krono on live servers for past 2 years since the price has skyrocketed so much on them. Why I've dropped from 13 traders to 4. As I spend 1 krono a month per trader, so isn't feasible anymore with the price their at.

Aspires plan only works if there is an economy on the server to support him. Not all servers have such an economy. I have dabbled in the baz and in the barter game and made a ton. Hell I can make 3mil plat in a day if I want to play in just the baz. But I prefer plat that I do not have to wait for someone to hand me and others to undercut me. I did make 12mil plat in the last week in 1 item that I seem to be the only one farming on my server. But again not sustainable and as soon as more then a couple people get it on it then the prices all drop. For me I would rather KNOW I will have 1.8mil plat when I check my 3 man group that I have to pay nothing to run.... but everyone plays their own way.... nothing wrong with either way...

And true, it depends on the population of the server. If you play on Vox, this strat will not work. I've thought about dabbling int TLP:Phinigel now that Luclin is live just to monopolize and price gouge the market as Krono are dropping like candy there. You don't have to farm anything outside the bazaar with regular play in order to do that, don't even have to actually play on Phinigel just gotta be smart on what items you buy.

I agree ya gotta know your market, when I saw people paying 500k-700k for belt of daggers, I farmed 10 of them and made a fortune...
