I got a question here about farming. Is there a way to say whitelist or black list items? say I want to farm spiderling silk on my 65 warrior and I want him to auto destroy or not loot anything but spiderling silk so his bags don't fill up with junk. Can this be accomplished?

If so please let me know how thanks

Yes, you can configure your "Loot" file found within the "Config" folder of MQ; either it will be there already and you just change what you want to do with the item(s) OR you can manually type the name of the item(s) and then tell it what you want it to do...

How do I install those? I went to the program on here it just says
- If necessary, create a lib folder in your Lua directory
- Copy everything from lib/ to your Lua/lib directory
- Copy lootly.Lua to your Lua directory

I dont have a Lua directory that I can find in my VeryVannila folder

can also use Lua looti

i thought Lua was included in next i may have created my folder. but go into veryvanilla folder. right click and make new folder. then rename folder Lua thenmake lib folder inside there and copy the items to the lib folder. and put lootly.Lua and lootier.Lua just inside Lua directory not the lib directory.

you will see a Watch button in the Overview tab in the actual page for each of the resources, just click on it. Then go to your MQ windows app and go to the Lua tab. If you don't have it listed there, hit refresh. When you see it click install and done. From there use the commands you can find in the FAQ and instructions

I tried that when I go to the Redguides Launcher and click Lua I get this

Lua scripts are currently only supported for for macroquest next

okay I got it installed but when I type /Lua run lootly I get a "DoCommand - Couldn't parse '/Lua run lootly'

ok so....To run anything that is not included in VeryVanilla. You need to download it and unzip it into the appropriate directory.

In this case:

Go to the Lua tab, Find Lootly in the List.

Click on the red writing LOOTLY and it will take you to the page, where in the top right you can Download it.

You will also see another program called Lootier which gives a Easy user interface.

If these dont do the things you require - there is also a plugin called MQ2Autoloot which you can use.
Always multiple ways to do things in MQ.

You can also just run hunter.mac (I think that is what it is called) and edit the ini to only loot silks. It worked flawlessly for me.

Nah.

If you watch the resource (not discussion thread) it will add it to your launcher. And it is likely in things like instructions and FAQ for those resources.

Any Mac or Lua etc that is uploaded as a resource can be automatically updated/installed via the RG launcher.

As mentioned in earlier posts, the old legacy mq2 for emu does not have Lua, so you wouldn't be able to use them via launcher or manually download and installed

Well if Looty doesn't work on EMU servers then how do I set up loot? all I wanna do is just make it so it deletes or doesn't pick up the items I want theres no need to have 100 cracked staves is my bags when all I want is spiderling silk

I'm running on a server that only goes to PoP so not adv loot system
