Came across some unsubstantiated claim that the next expansion will be "Shattering of Ro"

will update when more becomes available

They applied for the trademark back in march - but it is usually a good idea to wait and see (I believe that Fear of Eternity is for eq2). The reason i posted is because "Shattering of Ro" appears to be getting to the fansites in preparation

Was this "shattering" what the Prophecy of Ro was all about? My expansion lore is pretty lacking

I like the Lure of Darkness, mysterious. I saw Bonzz updated a page for Ro a few days back, but see nothing other. Forgot about the TM check, nice job. I'm sure we will all know more a few days anyways due to the presale. Level up always feels nice, but +10K more HP/mana etc is blah. LOVEEEEE your dogshit list, made me smile.
 
So I peeked at this for fun, not too long now:
  • The Outer Brood (TOB) is EverQuest's 31st expansion. It was announced on June 15, 2024 during the 2024 Fippy Fest. Beta and Pre-order began October 8, 2024
  • Laurion's Song (LS) is EverQuest's 30th expansion. Beta and pre-order began October 10, 2023. It was released on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
  • Night of Shadows (NoS) is EverQuest's 29th expansion. Beta and pre-order began October 11, 2022. It was released on December 6, 2022.
 
I really feel like I might get my wish for a new class, especially a new tank. Oh and also maybe the time bending stuff too! Can't wait for this new expansion!
 
Ok, I'll help you all fill the gaps.
Evolving item is a face—exact leveling unlocking as the previous four expansions.

Level cap to 130, new spells, no shaman squall upgrade. No type 3 for 9 months of the expansion. You need to use the last expansion's progressive because they forgot or didn't scale the new one correctly.

There will be between 2 and 4 missions to kill in 9 months to replace Type 5 augs.
Progression will have three partisan and three merc quests per zone, with 5-7 new zones.

There will be one new clickie that people will likely use: a lifetap or dps boost.
One new set of armor ornaments for the group and one for the raid.
They will not go back to the good old way of using one raid drop to make any slot, but they will still use the way that sucks.

They likely will promise a Guild hall tradeskill depot or some key ring.

biggest issue with that stupid raid is the constant random placement swaps i wanted to farm it for invis clickys but ya no =P

I tried and failed hard, I did the other stuff, was it a horse and another item from the same zone but other raid? Been a long time.

Turn on hunter tank and set your radius and pulling correctly. Soloed this with ease last night. I’m not in era by a long shot

you dont grind group missions for type 5 on level increase if im not mistaken its going to be like LS

every expac has a new type 5, it is what you use the group currency for.

i believe you're thinking of the type 3s
 
odds are its gonna be another cookie cutter in regards to the usual spell armor and aa lines etc ... but they have a chance to shake things up a bit it could be something as small as a new faction line for progression instead of the usual cookie cutter standard they've had since Tovelious. id really like to see some of the TBL progression added into the new expansion or perhaps even some underfoot questing lines. its probably beyond there capabilities to do so but change the mission system to an LDON type scheme (even if just 4 missions) with a vendor who sells mission specific augments etc to fill out type 3 and 4 slots instead of just type 5. a little imagination goes a long way with minimal change.

im talking about the type 5 augs in LS expansion you didnt have to spam missions to get the group currency to obtain them... you can farm the names for the augs.....i camped Djinn camp for shaving dex augs in LI.....
 
No matter how sick, broke or frustrated I get I keep coming back to EQ. Because the game has the ability to make me feel great. Whether it's getting a new piece of loot or helping someone or killing a named for the first time. There is a literal high I don't get from other games.

Rob, Same.
I recently got a new computer after over 13 years or so and took SOOO long to load up my browser and junk and delayed getting EQ EMU back, so along my procrastination and despair I found (yes I know you guys know about it, but still 'new' to me) Steam and Gog. Damn...I waited on a few games and got super 80 and even 90% discounts at both places. Most of the games I have not yet played...some I installed and did..but my love for EQ is over encompassing and got my EMU back up. Happy as a clam to see EQ back on my screen. Gonna try out Test and check my Live teams again at some point.
EQ is just too great. 🐸<3:eq1

Oh cool but bot sure how much more tanky a tank can get....or how .. what they will do... maybe it will be multi class ...
