The application is now available from the App Store at this link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ieqbc/id650603277?mt=8, at a cost of 10 USD. I might release a version which can only send BC chat and show chat events later.

Power consumption:
After many hours testing on both iPad 2,3 and mini, the power consumption of the app is about 50% for 6 hours of constant WIFI usage.


Features:
- /bc
- /bct
- /bca
- Sign on's and Sign off's messages
- Toggle autoconnect when application launch
- Live character stats update
* Shows: HP/Mana/End bars with percentages, Current zone, Current AA & EXP count, Name, Race, Class
* Variable update frequency in seconds
* If character change zone a warning is displayed
- Limited color coding of text
* Does not currently support [+#+] color tags
- 'Tell from' events are marked in cyan color
- Direct tells have sender marked in yellow
- Text triggers

* Will play a beep sound (LINK) if trigger text is found in incomming chat events
* Can specify the amount of times it should play the sound in a row

Comming in the future: (Hopefully, no guarantee)
- Color coding of text

What it does not do: (and never will)
- Run in the background - this is only a foreground application, due to the limitations of Apple.
- It will disconnect upon minimize


FREE beta keys: AS promised I will make 5 test keys available later today, they grant access to the app for 4 weeks.

Will be recenting him also - And you should be able to have unlimited open time with a jailbroken ipad... I never have issues like that.

I also know of multiple apps that do that already without jailbreaking. :)

As a kick-off deal, the price is lowered by 50% for 7 days, after that it will return to $10 again.

If you like to test and give me feedback on feature requests or issues/bugs, please send me a PM, as i have 5 promo keys available as promised.

EDIT: Price drop occurs when apple updates the directory next time, its on some incremental timer it seems.
 
I'd like to test it out with one of those beta keys. Does it run on the original iPad?
 
I'd like to test it out if you are still beta-testing. Not sure if you are but it's worth a shot. Will happily give criticism and let you know of any bugs I find. :)
 
Do you have any plans to make this for the iphone? I would love to be able to use this on the road.
 
yeah an iphone version would be awesome. I dont own an ipad and my iphone is basically my life lol.

How about an iPhone version? I bought the app on the (wrong) assumption it was supported on the iPhone.
 
Possible to still get this? Or removed from App Store? Link just hangs for me :(
 
You can always use Teamviewer if you want access to your PC from your iPhone, iPad, Android phone/tablet, etc. I use it all the time.
 
Best app I've used for checking toons is spashtop. It uses 2-4mbps but you can pretty much control toons with it from phone or different comp. Teamviewer seems a bit too laggy.

I love this app and have had it for a few years. I have this running on an iPad with IOS 9.3.1. There are some quirks, but it's basically working.

Is there still active support/development? If not, would you consider resurrecting the application if I funded some $$?

EDIT:

I just had a catastrophe. I purchased a new iPad, synchronized it with iTunes, erased my old iPad but did not notice that EQBC for iPad is no longer in my iTunes library. I love this app but don't know how to get it back since it's no longer in the iTunes store. Neophys, are you still there? Can you help?

Can you tell us a little about your app and how it compares to EQBC for iPad? Maybe I can help get the app on the app store, I really miss having EQBC for iPad.
 
I have no idea how it compares. It probably isn't that great. I just took my Windows/Linux version, and compiled it for Android and iOS. The reason I never released it on the app store is that I have no way to create the required demo videos for each device. I don't own any Apple products orher than a Mac mini that was given to me.

Well, if I rebuild my Apple dev box, I will do it. I don't have any Apple devices though, so it may be difficult to get on the app store.

Does somebody have the source for this? I've got an apple developers license and several iOS devices. I would consider updating/refreshing this project if I had source.
