Please hit me up with specific issues as I've done a lot of work on enchanter and the issues you described.Looks like you got yourself a passive-aggressive mercenary. Let's hope they're not codependent, too.
But seriously, I had some issues running my Enchanter through RGMercs, too; mostly consisted of him trying to constantly memorize/forget Auras he already had running, trying to cast them, and not recognizing the error message that resulted. So he just looped. I gave up on it and use him now as my main assist/puller, and have him set as MT too for the others to assist off of. You might want to try going into your LUA\Config file directory, finding his INI, deleting it, then running it as usual; if it discovers he doesn't have an INI file, it'll write a new one with defaults and that may be enough to fix whatever's going on.
It hasn't been an issue since. The first time I tried to run RGMercs, I executed it on the Enchanter because I didn't know anything about the script; I thought I would be launching a UI of some kind, as opposed to a per-instance command line, so when he started spazzing out I just kinda sat back and laughed. Thank God I was smart enough to run a test in the Guild Hall, as opposed to a battlefield situation. Since my party consisted of Enchanter, Shaman, Cleric, Druid, Magician, and I couldn't figure out a way to set the Magician's pet as MT, I decided to use my Enchanter as the designated MT/MA/Puller - that's the class I'm most familiar with, having never played a pure melee before. I've since added a Rogue for DPS (and to unlock those pesky doors in the Kunark era), but Disciplines and Combat Abilities might as well be Sanskrit to me, so I just run RGMercs on him and set him to chase my Enchanter around. It's not very efficient, because I move so much that "Follow Me" is almost always on, meaning the Rogue has almost no maneuverability; I literally have to run my Enchanter right on top of a mob before the Rogue can engage it, thanks to the tether. There's a 17-years-old Shadowknight on my Enchanter's account waiting to be used and explored, who I'll probably use as my MT/MA once I've got him leveled and AA'd, but that's in the future. For now, it's a caster/pet party with a side order of melee DPS.Please hit me up with specific issues as I've done a lot of work on enchanter and the issues you described.
Did you run the macro rgmercs or the Lua RGMercs? They are completely different thing. If you ran the macro there is no UI. If you ran the Lua there is a very large hard to miss UI.It hasn't been an issue since. So merc will swap passive/aggressive when going in and out of combat - is that what was happening? It will also go passive if your target is above AssistAt hps.Made a level 1 toon to checkout rgmercs
Bard set as main assist, merc set as main tank
It's being a big wonky with EQmercs
Also notice the EQUI gets locked as far as dragging windows, or using chat scroll bar pretty often

Macro. This was before I bothered to read the instructions. As a man, it is against my ethics to read instructions prior to at least 1 catastrophic failure. After that, it's ok to consult the manual.Did you run the macro rgmercs or the Lua RGMercs? They are completely different thing. If you ran the macro there is no UI. Glad you got squared away!Macro. This was before I bothered to read the instructions. As a man, it is against my ethics to read instructions prior to at least 1 catastrophic failure. After that, it's ok to consult the manual.
Ever since, I've ran it as LUA, and while I can't comment on ENC efficacy (since it's my MA/puller/main), the ROG is absolutely flawless.
