Question - Epic advice

yup, 6 is more than solo

can request and raid solo? no
can get friends 6+ request raid and then go in without them and solo? yes

Ok. Being on this forum I implicitely assumed that "solo" was meaning a group of six. My bad.

I decided to get my wizard her epics when she was about level 100~ and soloed everything except the anguish orbs which I got from a task add from some people who needed an extra to make 6 to get in. Not that the wizard epic is worth getting though, it was sort of fun to do it solo though

I just did SK, Bard, Bst, Shaman, 2 Zerker epics this week, all chars were lvl 85. I outlined below some of the things that took a while for me. it was pretty bearable over all because when one char was stuck grinding a camp, the other chars had something to do so I wasn't ridiculously bored. I pretty much just followed the ZAM guides which were pretty good and the only things I found that maybe be wrong info could be the berserker ferns, only 2 of the 4 locations worked for me. I had all these epics done over the course of a weekend.

Shaman
The shaman wasn't bad in terms of the prequest. I did the epic 1.0 up until Black dire, BD wouldnt talk to me but I killed him for his pelt anyway and was able to turn it in for the boots. During this I had another char camped for the malarian mob in PoDisease and got him after 3-4 hours which wasn't horrible because I was also working on the other epics.

Overall this epic wasn't bad. I didnt find the drops hard to get, I brought the BST who was camping stuff in maidens eye over to spank the swarmfiend for me. The bloated girplan in RCOD was like the murkglider for sk epic, 3-4 hour camp for it to spawn for me but results may vary.

Berserker

The prequests weren't terrible. Try to stagger your zerkers between other characters while you work on them so you don't get stuck waiting on events. The armsmen in Hate's Fury was a pain because I neglected to read what his script is so I ended up having to spawn him 4-5 times instead of twice. This is a theme for most of the fights so I advise to get the zerk epic done before you have access to Decap to save some frustration. I heard the seb guardian could be a pain because of decap.

Things to watch for while doing anguish would be lightning cores for sure. I actually looted one during my first of two clears for orbs. the second I was able to loot in MPG having a zerker camp one of the circular rooms near the entrance that spawns lightning mobs.

The zerker drops from GoD can be a pain. I did Kod'Taz for the cragbeast blood and shimmering ores. The path and pyramid towards north west part of zone was my camp spot with plenty of wanderers. The hynid blood I found was rare but between clears I ran out to natimbi and cleared the hynids there and ended up getting the majority of my bloods this way.

The ferns I found were touch and go. The one directly south of the entrance before turning west towards the yxxta path by ikkins 2 i think it is worked as well as the one in the yxxta pots between the golems. I wasn't able to loot any others on the locations I found online so maybe keep this in mind and prioritize grabbing these as they respawn.

Sacred water I got 8 pretty fast killing the 2 mobs that spawn guarding the S bridge in PoValor. and then clearing the houses on the end between spawns. nothing special here.

The mob to kill deep in the hole, and the seb guardian i took these fights slow to ensure the scripts were done properly. let the mob in the hole beat on you for a bit before you kill it just to be sure.

If around lvl 85, kill the bazu adds as they spawn during the smasher event because they add up quick.

Beastlord

You may be able to camp the ravenous dog at the pyre just outside UP zoneline at the same time you camp your gems of the void. I did the house in the pond in the north east corner of the zone for the gems

This epic took me the longest to do, but it also had the most running around. I also had to do some tradeskills to 100 for this so maybe get your trophies at skill 50 if you plan to TS on this toon.

Overall nothing too crazy about this quest, maidens eye and the trade skills slowed me down the most.

Bard

If you did any XP in PoP zones, save your raw diamonds.. if you XP in oow, it wouldnt hurt to pre farm your dragorn blood either.

If you have a ranger or druid maybe have them help you out with foraging in skyfire. the bloods from pop zones was pretty fast for me since I used my SK to run around and swarm for them.

The chaos boots and BP were easy. the gloves took some time and they dropped off a named group bazu in north west section of the causeway.

SK

By far the fastest epic to finish for me. The essence of hate took me a bit to camp in PoHate for the prequest. Followed by the murkglider in RCoD. Both of these were roughly 4 hour camps, maybe i was unlucky. Perhaps with the AoC's on live this can be subverted.

The lhranc pieces overall werent horrible. got the bracer in charassis on the 4th spawn cycle. the CoM piece was my 2nd ghiosk kill and I might have gotten lucky in kithicor getting it on the 3rd clear of the trashed cabins.
