I’m wanting to box an Enchanter on the upcoming TLP Frostreaver, and I’m pretty new to MQ2 and Kissassist.

After looking at other posted ini’s I was wondering if there was a way to have the enchanter auto charm a pet and keep it charmed when it breaks?

MuleAssist (A KissAssist fork) will let you issue the /charmthis command; so long as you have a Tash and Charm spell loaded, it will charm the thing you have targeted, and keep recharming it on breaks. If you have a Color stun loaded, it will try to use the Color Stun to get it under control. If you run MuleAssist on all your characters, then you can issue the command from any character, and it will also keep them from leaping on it and DPSing it on charm breaks, while the tank will try to tank it until the enchanter can recharm it.

Additionally you can use MAUI and have an in-game UI for editing the MuleAssist INIs per character, though you will have to stop the macro and start it up again each time you change the ini.

That sounds like exactly what I need. Does the Muleassit come with vanilla download? Or is there something else I have to do? I’m pretty new to this like I said.

MuleAssist and KissAssist are both included in the Very Vanilla download. Its forum is over here and there's a dedicated ini library for both MuleAssist and KissAssist here (or just click on the Resources up top, there'll be a menu on the left).

You can, of course, get KissAssist to recharm with creative uses of KConds and OhShits, but MuleAssist works out of the box, and by the time you want more robust automation as is provided by things like RGMercs Lua or whatnot, charming has fallen off a cliff as a viable tactic, so just using MuleAssist until the server reaches that point is almost as good as the less fiddly automations.

(Though I have been trying to talk Algar and Derple into adding a persistent charm module to RGMercs - but given the lifespan of the tactic I doubt I'll succeed.)

Perfect so I can just find an ini in the mule assist library I like that is close to the spells for my era and copy that in and then use the /charmthis if I am understanding correctly

Pretty much, yes, or you can build the ini yourself to customize how your characters play and what spells you actually have access to in that era. I recommend turning dannet=1 and dannetdelay=20 and eqbc=0 in every ini; dannet works better than eqbc in my opinion (these are what the characters using KA/MA use to communicate with each other).

Perusing various inis to get a feel for how the customization works is the best way to get started on that.
