Problem - Enchanter aura casting loop - other class auras are fine

I have a group of toons casting auras and all work fine and only cast once except the enchanter's Illusionist's Aura. No matter what I do it thinks the buff isn't active and it gets chain casted repeatedly (switching to the default gem between casts). The buff does get applied successfully on the first cast, confirmed by both the song and aura windows. I keep seeing the message "You do not have sufficient focus to maintain that ability" on subsequent casts. The line used to cast it:

Buffs1=Illusionist's Aura|aura

This is no different than how I apply other auras on the other characters just fine. It's the only aura with an apostrophe in the name so I am wondering if there is a bug with auras that have apostrophes in the name. Note that this is on an emulated server, if that matters.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Weird as it sounds, is it this VERY old bug that was never fixed? lmao

doubt it - that line has a trailing `|` in it which can cause issues

I just spun up my enchanter and copy / pasted what you have into buff1 into a clean INI and it works just fine. Maybe try backing up your ini and and trying with a clean one?

It's still doing it with a freshy generated config file. The only thing I changed in the file was BuffsOn=1 and the line from above.

I also tried it ungrouped and fully unbuffed. Still doing it.

May be a misguided shot in the dark, but... I've seen something similar happen when the char has some other aura active other than the one its trying to cast. Did you confirm the actual active aura is the same one that's spam casting?

Attaching a screenshot showing no other buffs, songs, or auras, and the one correct aura is active. Always works the first time if I clear it but then repeatedly keeps casting it, even swapping gems to do it.

Hmmm... something I just noticed. The aura in the aura window doesn't have the apostrophe (you can see in my screenshot above). Doesn't explain why it maybe works for postleaf but maybe that is part of the issue?

The aura is spelled incorrect by eq as you can see in your aura window.

Use a condition to check for the spell without the apostrophe

HAH I literally just posted the same post just above you!

Can you point me to where I can read up on creating that conditional?

Btw, this might be something introduced with MQNext for Emu. I didn't used to have this loop a year two ago the last time I played.
