Just a basic guide to getting shards the easy way. Most people charge around 5pp for this, but if you do the zone yourself, you can easily do this trick with your alts.
You will need a cleared TSO instance for starters. Basically you get a mission and zone into the cleared zone and get whatever clickies you need, zone out, turn in and get your shard.
This won't work for all missions, as some require that you kill (x) amount of mobs.
This trick will also work for the daily double missions as long as the mission has you doing clickies.
Edit: Forgot a trick to use...Get a level 50ish toon to group with you, mentor him/her and zone in. This sets the zone level to his/her level. Be sure to have your shard missions. Now, DISBAND the 50 toon (you won't get updates with the unmentored lvl 50 in group) and complete the mission. Works great for doing missions solo and in alot of cases, can be done very fast. Most missions are either kill (x) amount of mobs or get clicky updates.
If you're stuck on say, the Bridge mob in Befallen:NA, a conj or necro is really good here since the pet can tank the mob on the bridge and not take the AOE hits from the non-targetable adds along the walls. Just dont' pull aggro cause the named will leash and reset if he runs past the bridge. Other than that, just range attack sparingly while the tank works the mob down. Still a semi-long fight, even when the named is 53 or so.
