So not sure on if this has been posted before or not, but I know this was fairly common knowledge in my guild that was given to me upon returning to EQ.

So TBM's group gear is all non-prestige if memory serves me correctly and honestly for the stats it gives it's just amazing for 105s (and lower levels if you so desire). Each partisan mission to complete the lesser spirit shield achievement (4 in total) give about 1k remnants of tranquility per character at 105. Each mission has a 6 hour lockout (I think, may be 18 hour) and so with boxing 6 toons you essentially gain enough remnants in one run of partisans between all 6 of them to come close to fully decking out a 105 in full vendor bought items. The missions themselves really aren't that difficult although they can be a bit time consuming. I know the PoH one has one instance that spawns that so long as you can stack Invis + IVU you can literally just go to the 6 mobs or so and kill them to finish the mission in like 10 minutes. I think it's something about killing the commanders or something.

Anyways, TLDR - do lesser spirit armor achievement quests. With a 6 bot crew you pull in nearly 25k remnants of tranquility for completing a total of 4 missions that maybe take 2 hours to complete. If you're feeling super lazy, just do the health one and spawn it until you get the commander instance where you can double Invis to the 6 mobs you need and complete it in about 10 minutes.

Hope this helps folks and hope it's not a repost.

Missions in question:
Lxavnom Labors (Crypt of Decay)

In Defense of Health (Plane of Health)

Fate Rewards the Bold (Demiplane of Decay)

We Make Our Own Rewards (Demiplane of Life)

Pre-reqs (only needed once per toon - first two are just hails in non-agro zones. Last one is a heroic adventure)

Into the Temple (a)

Seal of Approval

Into the Temple (b)

Merchants for gear:
So this bit is a bit confusing. There are two sets of merchants. One is around Quellious in PoTranq. The other set is outside of the Gazebo you zone into from Tranq in PoHealth. After completing the 3 pre-req quests, you can buy t1 armor from the group armor merchant in Tranq and the t1 augs from the group aug merchant in Health. The group aug merchant in Tranq and the group armor merchant in Health require faction from Hate and Fear revisited. First mob you kill in either zone grants 1k faction, every other mob in 1 a piece iirc. Anyways, for this guide you want the two unlocked from into the temple B completion (Armor in PoTranq, Augs in PoHealth).

anyone have the guide to unlocking the vendors, I can buy armore but no 105 augs to flesh it out, anyone have a guide to unlocking the fastest way?

What do you mean Raz? If you do into the temple a, seal of approval and into the temple b you will be able to buy augs from the merchants in PoH.

The 3 pre-req quests I listed unlock everything vendor based.

One thing I forgot to mention with the above. At the end of each mission you get a chest that grants a piece of t2 gear - can't remember if it always drops a piece of armor and another piece or if it's just RNG for one or two pieces. Regardless, it's an extra benefit since the items that drop in the chest will have better stats and focuses than the vender based items. Vendor augs are still required to have the 3k+ stats, but they'll be slightly better stat wise and more importantly give out more heroic stats + better focuses.

For you personally Raz - it would be an easy way to spike the price a bit more on toons by Raz if you wanted to. You'd have the added benefit of selling full TBM group geared toons + base TBM progression done (aka no debuffs in the zones).

I've been doing http://tbm.eqresource.com/deadline.php in order to get http://items.eqresource.com/items.php?id=147037 from the named that can spawn there. As far as I know, that's the only mob that drops it and I could be wrong, but I think that is the best GROUP 1-hander for a knight and the best offhander for any duel-wielder.

No access to Everquest to see exactly what it augs out to, but I think for a knight it can be a 275dmg/34dly 1-hander and for non-knights it can be 196dmg/34dly.

Not 100% sure how delay works in offhand, but from what I understand offhand swings on it's own calculation and not off delay, although the ratio of the offhand weapon does effect it and that you should get the highest damage (obviously) that also has a good ratio. I dunno. But parsing my rogue with it compared to cudgel of the stranger ( 164dmg/26dly) the improvement in DPS was pretty significant that I am trying to get a Deathshead for all my duel-wielders.

So I did the pre-reqs above including completing into the temple(b). I didn't(assume) have enough faction to see all the augs. I say this because I didn't ever see enough augs to actually make the level 75 armor worth it. Same with the weps, they were pretty horrible with what I was allowed to see. Also there were vendors that didn't show a single thing. I am assuming Raz is prob experiencing the same thing I am seeing, TBM gear is unimpressive so far hehe.

as far as i know offhand swings at the same delay as the primary, can easily check by wielding a slash and a blunt weapon and run a parsing program and you will see that crush and slash should be about the same amount of times. The reason it might differ is because when the primary hand is swung there is a check for duel-wield skill and if it "procs" the secondary hand will strike and will go through the same checks as primary for triple, double attack and for weapon procs. Also high delay on the secondary weapon will produce a higher dmg bonus vs a lower delay. When i was raiding on my rogue would always go lowest delay with highest bs mod (talking about 2006 era) in the primary and high dmg secondary.

I forgot there are two merchants. One is in plane of health and the other is in Tranquility. Plane of Health is the merchant you want to visit

the weapon merchant and armor merchant are empty for me with those 3 quests done, not sure if more get unlocked with the ae reduction quest lines because i have yet to do those. Or those just might be the raid merchants and if flagged via killing the raid encounters might unlock those instead.

There are two different merchants. The plane of health ones should be unlocked completely for you once you've completed those three as far as I'm aware.

Have not ventured up to PoH much, ok not even finished the B quest yet on any toons, wanted to move a team up but they need augs to make the 75 gear 105 so wanted to know, and now I do! Thanks! time to smash some PoH!

Updated OP with merchant clarification. I forgot how much of a clusterfuck that was for this.
