Hello, I have searched forums for double invis and found 2 threads. I cannot seem to get it to work no matter what I put in the hotkey. I am trying to do this on my mage and the mage ends up with reg invis only and all other toons with IVU only.
I had this working before on my main toon set up but am no longer using MQ on him and do not have the key I used due to new cpu. Group is Rog/Mag/War/Clr/Nec/Bst am using clr/mag for the dual invis. To clarify, I use CWTN and Dannet on all but the Rog which is on a different cpu.

Thank you in advance.

Short answer: Get a Bard (They have double invis AA but lasts for like 15mins)

Long Answer: One of your group members (The last casting any kind of invis) will remain with one only. Start with casting invis vs undead from your Necro or cleric and then cast group invis from your mage. if that doesnt work, reverse it. but you will end up with one single group member with no double invis.

Unless they changed something, I used to get all group members double perma invis 100% of the time. I simply hit the cleric invis to undead AA first, then hit my intel caster invis AA a millisecond later( I play the int caster and cleric on separate computers/screens). It has been a while since I have done it though, because I followed the "Get a Bard" advice:)

so reverse the order of casting and see if that helps
so my hotkey has sk casting invs undead on line one
and enc casting reg invis on line two

if i have it the other way it dont always work right

This is all related to cast time. You need toon one to cast their invis which has a cast time, and toon two to activate their instant invis. That way #1 is already casting when the second one hits so they don’t break invis by beginning to cast a spell. Below is my double invis when not running bard - the first is SK IVU, which has a cast time, the second line is a command to my ranger to pop his instant Regular Invis.

/alt act 1212
/dex ranger alt act 518

I use my shaman and necro. As long as both timers are up, the following works (set up a hotkey) for me:

/dex shaman /timed 5 /alt act 630
/dex necro /alt act 1212

Other classes would work like that also, you could just experiment until you got it right.

I run mine on the same hotkey with no pauses or anything. Just depending on classes, sometimes I need to switch the order. Like one group the invis needs to go first, another group invis undead needs to go first. Why I can't tell you, I just know that if one way doesn't work try it flipped around.

BTW just want to toss out that I find InvisDisplay to be a very handy tool when I have to setup a new button because of different class combinations (easy to see the results of a test), or just to make sure my dudes haven't dropped invis for something.

FWIW Sylanos already said what needed to be said IMO.

It is 100% possible to get double invis on all characters in a group. I've been doing it for years with wizard/enchanter. I do it manually on separate pc's so just have a finger on invis/ITU hotkeys on each system and hit them at close to the same time (works better for me if I hit one a fraction of a second before the other, most likely due to system performance differences/lag). Sometimes I have to try a time or two.

Priests get instant cast ITU vs. INT casters which have timers so in those cases I'll hit Invis first followed by ITU. It's all about timing.

to get double invis, you need 1 version to have a cast time and start the cast process on the toon. then immediately follow it up with insta invis of the other flavor and the caster will get the insta invis and finish their cast with double invis on. Invis wears off at the start of an action.

Hotkey using dannet /dex castingtimetoonname /cast xxx or /alt activate xxx

/dex instacasttoonname /alt activate xxx

what is the name of the Bard AA for double invis?

I still use EQBC for many of my group commands and for double invis i use two lines in a hot key for cleric and then shaman but also works with mage/enc as second irc. s
so its /pause 2, /bct <name> //alt act 1212 ( invis against undead)
/bct <name> //alt act 630 ( or AA for your group invis)

the hot key is on the Toon i drive which is my warrior, and it works 98% of the time.

ya it really just comes down to 2 things. do u want all 6 2x invised or does the 6th matter. if u want all 6. check casting time on your group itu toon and your group inv toon. start slower one, click fast one ( example, the shaman group inv is instant. so you would use the longer casting group itu caster first then flip to shaman and group invis with instant so they both r being ast at same time, all toons benefit )

I use a generic hotkey, since I am always switching out characters, This one works 95% of the time. If the toon doesnt have the AA, like for the Shaman AA, then it gets ignored. I used to do the /dex toonname ... but that became harder once I started switching toons in and out of the group.

/multiline ; /timed 1 /dgga /alt act 630 ; /timed 1 /dgga /alt act 1212 ; /dgga /alt act 280
