Does it appear theres an intent directed at mq? Or is that simply a side effect of the changes, which were made for some other purpose?

- Reworked how spell effects are attached to spells to allow for greater flexibility in the number of effects and also how they stack.

this relates to http://www.redguides.com/community/...ell-looks-like?p=262080&viewfull=1#post262080

which reads like instead of storing blank attributes for spells they tied a slot number to an effect and stopped storing blanks...

simple answer: side effect
