Yes it is a separate donation. Your monthly sub goes to us at Redguides not the MQ2 Devs.
We support the MQ2 Devs with monthly donation that comes from Redguides but some people donate on their own for the extra work the Devs do during big or frequent patches.
This a totally voluntary thing and just lets the MQ2 Devs know you appreciate the extra work they put in sometimes to get the source code updated quickly.

Im new in here too...i had this doubt too...this month i paid the sub for this site and cant do much more cause im not from USA and the exchange rate is very high atm in my country (Brazil) cause we are in some kind of financial crisis around here...but will make the donations asap for the mq2 guys...
