Question - Does the Choice of Starting Race Matter on emu Servers?

Stupid question of the day. Does racial choice have a major impact on attribute stats when playing on Emu servers?

Aside from being KoS in some areas and appearance, I has wondering how much the choice of race played on gameplay on the Emu servers. On Live, the stats from gear more than make up for racial stat differences, but I have not seen a table or a list showing races and stats for those races on the Emu’s. Also, are classes restricted to certain races like on Live or is it choose whatever you want?

Bro you can't just lump emu servers together like that.
On most of them, I would say no.
On some servers, you are locked to normal combos. Some servers you can play any race. Some you can race change.

Sorry for being so general and vague. If I give Emu a whirl, I think I am leaning heavily towards Lazarus but I was keeping my options open and did not want to close any doors before the appropriate time.

Appreciate the help and feedback. I think I definitely want to use RGMercs, so for me, that is another strong vote for Lazarus, I have already set-up two forum accounts on EQEmulator.org and set-up a login placeholder for xxx under one of them. Not sure if I will have time tonight give it a test drive.

On Live and Test, I have been running an SK tank for my caster group. Was thinking about doing the same when I try emu. I have used both frogs and gnomes on Live and Test, but on regular EQ racial differences don’t seem to really matter. Not really into running an Ogre or Troll SK. Maybe I just need to jump into the water and try something and I can always reroll before I progress too far.

If you are playing on a server that uses the guild lobby or a modified POK as a server hub I would say most of the standard race deity concerns don't apply just go for the racial bonuses that make sense or specific appearance you prefer. Also worth checking if any of the racial bonuses are amplified or possibly removed when making your decisions. Bottom line is give it a whirl and have fun it's a video game

SKs are great on Laz, I main a Ikky SK end-game w/out issues. They (GMs) are good at keeping a balance so all the tanks are viable (outside some special encounters). Some like Ogres for the stun resist, but with AA, all get the same. Really on that server, play what you want, it makes next to no diff at end game.

RGmercs runs great on Laz. I wouldn't stress about the races. Pick the one you like looking at.
