As with mq2 for emu - support is very-nearly-almost-pretty-much "as-is" since emu's vary so much - HOWEVER, doing updates and things for emu (and addressing and fixing crashes) is infinitely easier with MQ than legacy busted-ass MQ2. We don't want you to crash even more than you don't, I promise! (looking at you weird eskay crash on laz)

With the 2026 changes to MacroQuest/RedGuides will be selling licenses for emu sometime soon

As with the previous MQ2 emu builds, there will not be full 1:1 direct support for every/all emus - many emus vary significantly, and many edit/add/remove spells and AAs and the way some of them work are just completely different on emu than they exist in EverQuest.

Chat and I are very excited about all of the exciting emu adventures that are to be had here in the future, and we wanted to give you an idea of what to expect from our automation plugins for there.

This is great news! Thanks for all the work on those. Any idea if Kiss is going to be working RG Build on Emu? Last I heard it basically instant crashed/errors.

this is a sticky specifically to announce cwtn plugin stuff for emu, not for general emu stuff - but yes.

This is great news and I am glad I focused my vids around RG build thus far. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to eventually give the CTWN pally plugin a spin on Project Lazarus!
 
Just logged into Project Lazarus and after performing the updates on my launcher, I noticed mq2eskay will no longer load. I searched on forums and could not find a fix. How do I know if I'm running the new emu version?

You are using MQ as aq said. If you look in the emu section (where you posted) there is a giant banner at the top that links to emu patch notes that explain it all.

no not really - and we're not really going to be able to do that.

the "if it say's your not a mage" was mostly towards servers that do custom classes, or hybrids, or classless --- have had some people ask some weird stuff like their warrior won't backstab with mq2rogue --- well, that is because eq says it is a warrior, not a rogue.

some emu's change AAs or abilities/spells to something other than what they are currently or were back in the era the emu is in.

--- Genwak is/was on any emu that they changed the "Spirit Mastery" AA ability for clerics to a castable AA that casts combined aura divinity and pious instead of being a passive AA that just allows you to have more than 1 aura.

many/most/all? emus have AA changes that are different than live, because EQ changed them, not the emu - some moved from active to passive etc - many of these type of things are "unsupported; if they work, they work".

and emphatically, an emu should not reinvent their wheel or be asked to, for the cwtn plugins.
 
Gotcha thanks. I think my question is more geared towards a new server that is aiming to be "era accurate", in which case it sounds like a class not working with the plugins is a good indication that there might be some residual custom something or other left over from whatever DB was used as a template.
 
Is this still a work in progress? I just started playing an emu and I don't see any of the class plugins under the plugin manager.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious or if it's not ready yet, it's sure worth the wait!

I know there is no timeline set for this per the first post. Just wanted to check in and see if there was any update on these. I have watched all the videos and would love to see these in action firsthand.

unfortunately, a small handful of people have been trashholes lately, and wasted a bunch of my time as evident by this past weekend pre-pre-preview.
 
Yes the plugins will still eventually be available for EMU.

Unfortunately the differences that exist between EMU and live are substantial, which means a ton of the functionality (mainly due to AAs or how spells work) aren't the same.

It is unlikely that emu stuff will be released until after all the plugins are released for live/test.

if i have updates, I will post them.

Hi all I am just coming back to EQ and started playing on the Project Lazarus. I am having trouble with the CWTN plugins looking through the Forums the last post on them was about a year ago so not sure if it's something I am doing wrong or are the still not done for the EMU servers?

Very new to lazarus and a returning player to redguides, So i have some real basic questions. As i'm trying to refamiliarize with 6boxing by watching all of Sic's Youtube vids, My question is will the class plugins work fine on lazarus? MQ2Eskay etc..

Not at his time, unfortunately.
 
Was wondering about using red guides and plugins on project lazarus, will it work at lvl 70? will it load the right buffs and spells. Just wondering these things. would really liek to load it up but dont want ot if its gonna be wonky, Thanks in advanced!

AFAIk, the cwtn plugins do not work on EMU servers. Many other things do like KA, but not those. You can see many of the items that do work with a quick search on the top right and type in emu =)

What am i looking for here, i dont see anything talking about emu servers.
Ok so youre talking about RGmercs? if so i tried this and its very clunky, seems greaty for lvling, but at 65 my cleric is buggy, i end up dying because it wants to load useless spells and wont rez sometimes, and the bard is funky also. could it be because i was running mq/e3n with it ?

This is the cwtn section. You asked about cwtn plugins.

I was just looking at this myself. Reading that whole thread, I think the answer is 'not at this time' or 'still in development'.

If you guys need a tester for Lazarus, give me a ring. I'd be happy to test it out and or assist in any way i can.
