Tip - Crystal Caverns Partisan Invading Ice

I was doing this quest with my team and when I got to the capturing spider and terror part I used the campfire to room method for capture.
(Bring a live spider to the empty room, on the upper level to the south 0/1 Crystal Caverns)
After doing this I decided to try to capture them away from my group on a character I needed the step on i didn't try this until I was on my last 2 characters and on the capturing terrors part. I was able to leave my toon in the room and either using the extended target window or targets target window to get the target and charm or capture the terror from the inside the room, my group was in the terror area almost to the very south tunnels. I couldn't find a post about this but thought I'd share to help others cause this part was a pain in the neck having done it on 12 chars. If there is a post already made sorry!!

Again I only can confirm this works on the terrors, I will run this quest again within a week or so and test it on the spiders.

Are you basically saying the charm clicky doesn't have a range on it? So as long as you can get the target via extended target and the mob is at the appropriate hp percentage (if I recall, that's a requirement), then you can charm it while standing in the room?

That is correct, dps the mob down with your other toons once it is 20% charm it from the turn in room marked #3 (room directly east from Andera Velmist) for spiders, room #4 (take a left from Andera Velmist room follow the top platform until you reach the 2nd room to your left, right before the ramp to get back on main level) for Terrors.

I made a fucking meal of this task doing my last group through it, was having an off day but I sure as he'll would of had a better day doing it this way!

And if you are truly lazy/gimpy, you could have your whole group in the room and pull a spider and run back to the room and let the palace guards melee it down and then click your capture thingies.... )

Late update to this but was doing progression again for some new boxes and this step also can be done from inside the room. click your glue and harness from here. the spiderlings work for this update as well just dont dot the spiderlings lol
