how do i find the items that make you a better crafter or at least what quests do i need to do them

You'd do the Seeking a Profession quest, which is on Queen's Colony. It gives an Artisan's Tunic. That will give you a +1 to all your trade skills. As far as anything else goes, buy good drink to keep your energy up, and group with an illusionist if you see one in your tradeskill instance, because they have that awesome regen spell.
