We're back to the raid game on the first of June, through several weeks of vacation, now we did it again.
:hfive:
Beat Aary is fun,

Then Vulak tonight,
COV Vulak.png

It's was a good journey from TBM-EOK-ROS-TBL-TOV-COV, hell of fun and hardwork. The picture might get totally different when it comes to heavy boxing raids. Some of them are really mean to boxers.
But overall, it's kinda feelings that we're among those top guilds too!:rimshot::rock:

Now farm mode inc, see you guys in next expansion!

Very nice. What was harder for you guys, Aary or Vulak?

Well, good question.

Aary is somehow tricky to code, and hard to maintain the Aura Team with bots.
But in the other hand, Vulak phase1 need raid splits which gave us hard time too. Though phase2 Vulak himself is much easier.

So I'd say Aary is the hardest raid in expansion due to more and rougher wipe mechanism

Did you guys do the strat that runs you to different auras to block the roars? Or did you eat the roar and everyone just gets echo of earth to block inturders?

WTG!

How many humans vs how many bots? Are y'all using entropy/KA/CWTN or is it 100% custom stuff?
If I remember correctly from the past it was 5-6 real players with 100% custom stuff

We have to run to the right corresponding aura to block the roar otherwise is a mass dead (we are just not that strong to survive from it unless we dragon glyph it). Intruders then we can heal through.
But we always let the melee run to the fire aura to gain fire proc then to the right aura, so we deal with the golem adds easier.

That's awesome. Definitely easier to heal than the other way.

If you don't mind answering questions, I'm curious if you ever had an issue with the Fire aura spawning on the opposite side of the "Roar" aura?

Example: You get the emote for Roar of Shadow incoming, but Shadow Aura is in between you and Fire aura. So nav wants to run your melee to Fire Aura while going through the Shadow Aura. The issue being you can't get Shadow then Fire then Shadow again.

Let me know if that makes sense.

Hence where to set raid is somehow important. We set the gather point at the south of the big center rock so the four auras is always spreading like 4 points on the circle. Plus, we use moveto instead of nav in that raid ;)

Super cool effort KA.
I am trying to do the same thing all by myself and I am a complete novice. Struggling with TBM atm.
Can you share an example of some of the custom stuff you do?
I dont even know where to begin.

Start with EW1 Griklor. Can be done by 18-24 toons easily with the correct setup. Then try Great Divide, those 2 are basically free loots for starters.

Talking about TBM, I’d say Vim and Vigor is hard to balance nowdays since you are over leveled, but you can just ignore all mechanism of TBM unless is Death Touch or HP lock..Wither/Decay can test how you stop your dps, well Damsel of Decay will test if you can precisely control your melee position or not, and also your raid cure respond.

Overall, in raid script, you not only want your army to react correct, but the reaction SPEED and ROBUST is really essential too.

Cong 100%
I just joined MQ2 army recently, I have a team with group capped sk/brd/shm/wiz, may I ask your suggestion about my last 2 characters to full my team? Stay group fun or even move to raid level?

@KingArthur congrats, bud :) That's a huge accomplishment!

Congrats King Arthur ... huge props.

We are going to school on the Aaryonar raid (coz we've left the 'best until last').

@Sum1 - did you guys say that you've boxed out the Arryonar raid ? If so, any tips

Big congrats! That's quite the achievement!

I'm looking to start raiding griklor and gd, have about 3 full groups (18). Only ever used kiss assist and ctwn plugins. I've heard mention of entrophy? I'm guessing react/events come into play too. Feeling a bit lost at where to start and what to set up first.

The OP uses his own, self-created automation tool that is not available publicly. He doesn't use KA/CWTN. If you're looking to emulate that process, you've got a very long road ahead of you.

Also I think you will be sadly surprised that you won’t get griklor with 18 toons unless they are all pimped out to start with. 18 in cov t3 grp gear isn’t going to do it. You also need to figure out your tank logic because gd you will likely have to deal with 6+ mobs at some point and built in logic will absolutely get you wrecked especially with 18 cov grp gear early on

yes events are extremely important and there is no blanket solution that can just be given out by people because it depends a lot on how many people you have, how many toons, gear thresholds and how you chose to handle different situations (there are multiple ways to skin a cat).

What do you need to get started?

What do you need to get started?
That is an entirely sliding scale. How much dps do you have? How many healers? How many tanks? What is gear at? Do you have the coding skills or the willingness to teach yourself to make your own custom events/macros. Is it just you or other people as well. The less people the more automating task loading is going to unburden you. If you’re going from a base of group gear think 36-48 toon range with AA and gear and augs etc

i haven’t boxed any raids… that’s entirely @KingArthur

I am not very successful at boxing raids. Compared to King Arthur - I am a complete novice.....But the challenge - and the satisfaction of boxing an old raid that you cant just Zerg - is just as satisfying as beating a current raid.

It starts with one grp. Lots of old content can be done with one grp. I started out with one grp, then added another, then another.

So I recommend starting with the older content - and plan how your grps are going to look. Its important!

You actually spend more time gearing up your grps, and keeping track of who has what than you spend actually raiding. But if you start with early expansions and follow progression you will become a master of moving a raid force around.

We've three grouped Grik, not easy and a good challenge especially as there is no raid lag at the end

Yes but you 3 grouped it with what I’m guessing were all raid geared toons? My point was most aren’t gonna have a core of 18 toons fully raid geared when starting off and you also said we. How many actual players were in that 18?

Impressive!

Congrats to KA. truly s impressive.

In terms of boxing raids from what I’ve seen, the biggest challenge is offtanking. I’ve been handling tacvi/anguish recently with 48 and manually offtanking on the extra wars but it’s by far one of the biggest challenges. I’e had. addressing that will get you a long way to more modern raiding.
