Question - compile update

mq has worked flawless for me and I love it but when I go to update the red guides updater (with compile form) it tells me that if I continue it will ignore this error and attempt to continue and if I quit then it will close. if I hit continue then I continue I go into EQ and it gives me a client crash through macro quest. I tried re downloading everything fresh and still wont work. any ideas? the updater seems to be the problem in my opinion but no idea what to do.

Best thing to do would be when the error pops up click on Details then copy paste that info to Redbot so he knows exactly where the program is erroring at for you.

this usually happens when you try to update while mq or eqbc is running and it creats a tmp file in route mq folder.

hm I don't have it running I even tried re installing ma quest and re doing it all I know is when I delete and re insatall the updater all my boxes are stil filled in from before

deleting the updater wont affect your ini files or any of your mq files.

try installing mq to a brand new folder with a totaly different name

as a RULE I always REBOOT the machine just before I do an update, never know when an old copy of eq is stuck in ram or anything else.... when in doubt "have you turned it off and back on again"
