This mission i am very unenthusiastic about. I feel like they didn't really finish it and did a "just ship as is".

The zone is dark as hell, and i couldn't see squat.

Not really much to it,

fight stuff on tentacles, win, loot chest

 
Yeah, it's dumb easy. Mobs are basically zone trash and other than the "kill gargoyle before stonegrabber" there's basically no mechanics to it. We were talking in guild about this last night and many of us have a sneaking suspicion that it will get buffed in difficulty after awhile. So get in, boys, while it's hot. This one is a pushover.
 
3 of the bosses are broken
the final guys emote are broke so dont have to dodge or run the first mob after the gargoyle and stone guy is broke he should have more purple stuff for sic but its either not on or you can burn through him not get it
 
got garg down to inactive, then went to lay into stone grabber.. killed him and seemed to bug it, the garg hung out agro, no damage output for 15+ min @30% health? dropped, it, re-tried, same thing, killed grabber before garg went active again, bugged at 30% again.. anyone else have that?

yeah i had some whackiness the first attempt i made, just ended up standing there and wouldn't take dmg, so i taksquit

We've just been taking the grabber down while gargoyle is inactive, but not killing it, then swap back to gargoyle when it wakes up and kill that before the grabber. Seems to work every time.

You can also just leave him sitting there at 30% for the entire mission and still win. The boss will spawn on timer regardless.
 
im pretty sure you gotta use the rock guy to activate the gargoyle with some kind of aoe i just move rock guy in front of garg and it usually comes back quickly but yeah you can just leave gargoyle and continue i wiped to both of them first time and they pathed away and i rezzed and event kept going and won. Gargoyle is for achievement
 
Just kill Gargolye first, when it goes inactive swap to stone guy. The stone guy will do an AE that will activate the Gargolye, then you want to switch back to the Garg, kill it, and finish the stone guy. Killing the stone guy before garg means you won't be able to activate the garg when/if it goes inactive.

The trick to make phase two faster: If you have enought DPS the Garg will go inactive before Stone guy does first AE. Stone guy does his AE every 35 seconds from when he goes active. So, if you deactivate the garg before the first 35 seconds, you'll instantly activate it again at the 35 second mark. I usually don't burn there so I am having to wait until the second ae (70 seconds in).

If you want to speed it up, save your burns for the 2-3 Akhevan that come on phase 3; if you kill the third guy quick enough he won't spawn the 3 adds. What I do is begin burns on second guy then continue brun on third+HT, etc.

I have noticed alot of the mission mobs are timer based. ty for the tip, how long is the timer though? i left him up for at least 15 min, and we just stood there..

I wonder how it will be after its fixed? (is it broke?) right now, its just the walk out to it sucks.

Each phase lasts 6 minutes or until all mobs of its phase killed.
 
You can set up camp mode right in front of the gate and AFK through this mission. It's a joke, and is broken in several spots.
That said, the only possible difficulty is getting the final achievement, where you need the 5-minute DoT on you which limits your hitpoint cap. It's a slow-roll until the first single boss, AFK for 2 minutes or so until she DoTs everyone, then bigdickburns all the way to the end.
 
I was able to get all the achievements by starting the encounter and moving near the NPCs and letting them fight everything. I expect this will be massively changed/patched.
 
you probably already knew that, but just in case you didnt, here is a method to increase lighting in bloodfalls

Ignore it. It means you killed the stone golem without letting it hit the gargoyle with its ae. Tisk tisk. Mission continues fine, you just have to wait for the script.
 
The way the script plays out is for old guys like me. It gives me time to get another cocktail 🥃
 
I confirmed yesterday that this mission is a joke.........I parked my teams on the tentacles and wait for all the adds and mini come to me... and in the end I got all achievements........
 
I cannot believe I never bothered to do the Ouibilette mission until today to snag access to this mission. How have they not buffed this?
 
Which is odd because you need the "Oubliette of Light" mission to complete the progression quest "Live as Brothers or Perish as Fools" in Ka Vethan.

I haven't started any of the progression quests in ToL yet. I was finishing ToV for the earring. Still need to finish the Hunter stuff.
 
Kill garg and stone grabber wrong, end up with having to wait for timer, its a bit of a wait.. but after the stabs thing from a year ago (just a script wording bug), not broken afaik.. done it a few hundred times, so any more info be nice...

Oh, I had done that and yes, gotta wait out the timer, but I only did that one time... that said, nowadays I just burn the gargoyle, 30%, hit golem for a bit, then back on gargoyle til dead, then golem... *shrug*... I didn't know that the timer was a bug when done other way
 
I just walked in, beat on stuff, let the adds beat on me and killed the final boss, 1st try.. so yeah this is pretty easy for my crew. I did use the tentacles.. I also probably should have killed the adds as they were hitting harder than a fifth of bacardi with the boss.
