Yes. All it takes it loading the toon, turning on the macro, and watching it do everything in the macro EXCEPT cast group heals as the main healing spell.

Been having some issues with KA on emu servers, specifically just with my Cleric. I had posted in the KA macro thread a few days ago and got some work done to narrow down the issue, but that thread has dried up. I am hoping some fresh eyes/input could help.

The server I am playing on uses a particular group heal spell that is the only one that scales with progression on the server. As a result, there aren't really any other healing spells I would need, particularly as I got to harder content. However, KA refuses to cast this spell unless at least two group members are at or below the threshold set in the ini file. I can confirm KA works because the Cleric will still trigger buffs I add, will autorez, and will cast single target healing spells perfectly fine. Also, this is not unique to just this particular group heal spell. I added and tested all of the remaining group healing spells available, and NONE would trigger unless it was the above mentioned scenario.

Additionally, it was suggested to me to add the |MA tag because KA will treat Shaman group heal spells with that tag as a single-target healing spell. That has not worked thus far for me in any combination of setups. Lastly, I tried editing the other config file, not the KA one, and noticed on that it had settings like group heal point and minimum group heal count, so I changed the point to match my KA ini file setting, and the mininium group heal count to 1 and even 0 with no success.

Desperately hoping for someone might know a work around.

Quick update:

Was doing some more messing around.

By using the "/heals" set of commands for MQ2Heals, I was able to change the group heal count and group heal percentage to what I wanted. I turned KA on, did the usual testing, and not only did it still not work, but it was spamming my chat with errors. Turned off KA using /end, and the Cleric started healing the group from the last pull. So, kept pulling with KA off and MQ2Heals turned on and it worked like a dream. Cleric was spamming that shit exactly like I wanted him to.

Pretty clear to me this is an issue with KA not recognizing what is in the config files for these spells. And since MQ2Heals has a buff option built in as well, I am really kind of wondering how necessary KA even is in this scenario. Might just run it on my DPS but have the healers just on MQ2Heals. Hell, might even just disable KA all together and have the melee run on MQ2Melee and casters on MQ2Cast. Unfortunate to miss out on some of the cooler aspects of KA, but at least this seems to be a fix.

For anyone related to the KA project, I can see about replicating the error spamming I mentioned. Maybe that could help you figure out why it is making group heal editing an issue?

You can't use 2 automations to heal. KA uses it's own algorithm to heal. I think it uses a group average for heals when using a group heal iirc. Been a while since I used KA for my healer. So if you need to use MQ2Heals for your healer, then you might be able to just turn heals off in KA file of your toon, and run it that way.

That is actually a really good idea about disabling just the healing part in KA for the Cleric. That is ideal because I still really like the other features of KA.

Still, I am genuinely curious if there is a way to edit KA to allow group heals for Clerics to be cast like single targets heals would be. According to the wiki, Shamans can do that with some of their group heals.

If MQ2Heals can trigger it properly, I am not sure it is an issue with the spell itself. That was one of my original thoughts. KA also didn't work on lower level group healing spells, which wouldn't have been changed, so it really does seem to suggest the culprit here is KA not letting you configure those settings. Or at least not through a command I can find.

I mean, yea, MQ2Heals works, but it obviously lacks a lot of the other things that KA brings. So that is why I am still looking for help. I want to use KA, not a standalone plugin that doesn't offer nearly as much.

If you can get me a debug log of this happening from your cleric I can check and see what is holding up your cleric. The |MA tag should be healing your MA character with the group heal as if it is a single target heal.

Use: "/debug all on log" to start debugging and Use: "/debug off" to stop debugging. You will need to change the extension of the log file from .log to .txt before you can upload the file. Just need 1 fight worth of logging, where your cleric is not casting heals. You will need to turn off MQ2Heals for the log file to be any good.

also quick follow up re: the MA tag

I am using it as such: grouphealingspell|90|MA. when i load KA it doesn't give me any errors, so assuming that is the format, but maybe you can confirm?
