Tip - Clarification on Heroic Augs

I was under the impression (I think from reading the DGB forums) that you could complete the heroic aug quests, even if you didn’t have a heroic character. I just tested this theory and I was able to complete the quests with my heroic characters, but not with my regular characters. So, it looks like you have to be heroic to do the quests, and I apologize for repeating that somewhere around here.

What does everyone do with their F2P alts? I’m assuming that you get the best available F2P augs if you have a tank, but what about non-tanks?? How do most people go about equipping non-tank FTP group members for type 7s??

heroic augs are just heroic aug stats - good marjority of them are prestiege - so f2p can't use them - but the TBM slot 5s can be used f2p and give 32 of the H stat of your choice

TBM has alot of type 7 augs that are not prestige.

The HoT Feerott quests are just the Mercenary questline. Any character should be able to do the quest, but a Heroic character will be offered the augs in the reward window when they complete the quest. I ran a group through these a few years ago and my non-heroic bard and cleric completed the quests and got only xp/plat rewards, but my mage, who was a heroic, got a choice of augs.

You can do the quests on F2P or any other non heroic but you don't get the aug. Here is a list I have posted from SK forums for some good F2P augs/non heroic augs etc - there are a few standard ones like Jonas Dagmires hand and the Oceangreen line etc

Weapon Augs: Very few weapon augs are available before level 100 from any expansion that are decent.

Dulled Gem of Evaporating Life DMG: 5 + 420 Heal (Target of target)
Blademaster's Writ DMG: 5 + 420 Heal Self

2H:

Drezdal's Skull DMG: 8 + DD process

Weapons Augs < Level 100: link
Dioptase Chip and others from the augmentation vendor in your home city.

Priceless Diamond of Ethernere (Quest)
Purified Flawless Faycite Triad (Quest)
-- That is it! Only these 2 augs for purity!

If you can get the augs listed above you will have a decent aug set when all is said and done.
