Problem - Character in background issues - Not auto depositing summoned items

Good morning,

Long time listener, first time caller.

I have a question regarding how my toons are acting in the background. I have been running a group of 6 for a long time and have not had issues, until recently. The issue that I am seeing is that the characters in the background ( I have set my Frame Limiter at 0.001 and active when in background ) will not auto deposit items into the backpack and causes them to just stand around unable to cast or do anything. This happens when the mage summons his mod rods, or orbs, but it effects all toons. They will not auto deposit it until I click on the screen and bring it to the foreground. I have run the same INI files for a few years now and have changed nothing. The only thing I did do recently was install and use RGMercs on one toon, as no INI files are available and I have not had the time to build it yet. This also effects my Berzerker, as when he is holding the mod rod, he just stands like a dolt. If I click to bring him to foreground, he deposits it and happily swings his axe.

Anyone else seeing this, or possibly have a suggestion as to what I can do to get them running right again? This started happened about two weeks ago and Ive tried all kinds of things, enabled auto loot all, change frame limiter to 2 to see if it may help, but at this point I have to click and cycle through all the toons to make sure they don't get anything in their hands. I am always at my keys, don't run AFK, so its just a matter of cycling through, but on some fights its a pain as I lose the DPs until I realize what's up.

Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

Solution
you should turn of new ui, if you haven't.

Ctrl o, to open options then on the display top towards the bottom should be a checkmark for using new ui, uncheck and camp to desktop, then load up your teams.

This seems to have resolved it. Thank you very much for that. Not sure when or why the "new ui" radial got clicked, but was enabled on all my toons. Works swimmingly now. Truly appreciate the fast solve!

Update on this one, the issue came back and unsure why. Basically what is happening is anytime a character summons an item ( Warrior: Ethereal Arrows, Mage: Rod of Transvergence...etc ) if that toon is not in the foreground, it will not auto inventory the item. I tried to use Lootly, AutoLoot..etc, but this isn't a true loot item, rather like a quest item. Is anyone else seeing this issue? As soon as I click the screen to put them in the foreground, it auto inventories the summoned item with no issue and runs just fine, until it has to summon again and is in the background.
Almost at the point of taking the DPS hit and just not having them summon the rods, but if anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.

Thanks in advance.

Step 1:

Make sure that the "use new ui" box didn't get rechecked by the client.

it happens sometimes when you are loading many toons rapidly. A lot of dudes will read-only their eqclient.ini, which helps, but I think it is still possible for a client to load from the defaults even if you've done that.

not seeing what is on the cursor certainly sounds like an issue with the new ui. I even scrolled up to see if you confirmed you turned it off - I would do exactly what algar suggests above

I have triple checked across all toons for the "New UI" box, and it is unchecked. Its baffling me for sure. Have not had this issue until just recently. And like I said, the only things that are doing this are summoned items. All the rest of the looting works as advertised, just when a toon summons something.
