Updated MQ today and added quite a few plugins...

Continued progression in EoK. Hail for NeXT step, and npc didnt respond on any of the 6 toons.

Unload on all, relogged to char Select. Back in and all was good.

Any idea what plugin could cause this?

i had a similar issue, i believe for me it was portal setter causing the problm at the time,

I had the same thing happening for awhile a few months ago, nothing short of restarting would fix it. I haven't had it happen since then.

I've had issues like this with randomly not being able to get NPCs to communicate with my character. A camp out and back has always cleared it.

Really strange.. After /unload and relog it worked. Then relogged with MQ up. Back to not working.

Unloaded again. Now even that didnt help…

Do a cold reboot? (turn computer off for 10+ seconds, restart) yes, this really does fix things sometimes =)
Windows up to date? (MQ2 and plugs utilize some services)

After that, may want to post PC specs and a list of the plugins you are using (to help the tech guys narrow things down)

Ended up removing MQ and WinEQ entirely --> Rebooted --> Reinstalled both --> Voila ! All good for now :)

I had a similar experience during a tutorial quest on a newbie toon and found that MQ2Radar was the culprit in my situation. Once I unloaded it, everything worked fine.

Of course, this was like two months ago so that issue might have been fixed (or it was just a fluke on my end).

Can confirm this still works. At least it did for me, thank you! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out! :bang:

Thanks, that worked for me today as well. Started with Kiss some 5 days ago and had always to close all clients (+MQ2 itself) prior to be able to interact with any NPC.
Now almost all is working as expected.

This worked for me as of today on May 10th 2021. 16 hours of pulling my hair out and it was one little plugin
