Problem - Can someone tell me why my mage will not assist with spells or pet

Used an INI from the compiled list, changed it a bit to new spells. I cannot get my mage to do anything using it. Do I have to engage the INI some way other than /mac kissassist the main tank?

Sorry. This is my first few days and I haven't been able to find the solution in the help files. I am probably missing something.

Who is your mage targeting when starting? Who is the tank targeting when starting KA?

Is your mage targeting a mob, but not attacking?

When i load my group, i /mac kissassist Main Tank Assist the tank mercenary. I have my SK pulling (he is not set up, just using defaults for pulls and pets for dps atm) and the merc takes agro when close enough. My mage appears to do absolutely nothing. My mage does not target the merc target, or anything for that matter.

Target the Mercenary from your mage and then use /mac kissassist. In the MQ window you will see the message when starting KA. What does the message say about who you are kissassisting >>?

The only other thing I can think of is check and see who is the mainassist in your group is. You will have to do this from the leader of the group, but if one of your group members is tagged as Main Assist, then drop the tag from the group member, You want to make sure there is no Main Assist assigned to any of the group. Do this after you start KA and see what happens.

If that doesn't work. I would rename your ini file and restart KA on your mage, then go into the new ini file and move your DPS and buffs to from the old file and save. Restart the mage and see what happens. There are some entries missing from the above ini file you provided, So there could be an issue with the ini file itself. Wouldn't be the first time that recreating the ini file fixes this type of issue.

Do you need to restart the game or anything after? I have removed the ini file for that character and /mac kissassist the mercenary again, but it still is not assist or even targetting. Haven't added anything to the file.

I'm going to guess it is something unrelated to the mage. I have not done anything with my enchanter box, and just ran kissassist on the tank and it is also not working.

reboot your computer first.. then delete the mages ini file. Run KissAssist let it run for a bit then /end kissassist. go take a look at the ini file now.. if it looks like everything is there then start moving 1 section at a time, saving the ini and starting it on your mage. I would do buffing first. click off all your buffs and run the macro on your mage, does she buff? If the mage buffs, then move onto the next section.

Is there any triggers in particular to start the buff/dps sections of the ini?

I'll reboot and delete both ini, cause neither work.

When you say run kissassist, I just want to clarify, should I target the merc and /mac kissassist, or something different?

Cause as of right now my INI files have nothing in them other than the rez accept and a wav file

I think your in the wrong folder. make sure your in the Macros folder under where you have your MQ2 folder.

An example of my MQ2 folder is D:\RedguidesMQ2. Yours will be different, but you want to go in the Macros folder under your MQ2 folder.

Yep. From there go into your macros folder and find your ini files and make the changes to those.
