Question - buffs that are permanent once clicked

I am seeing alot of INI's that have in their buff sections, rares that are being clicked. I thought once those items were clicked once, the buffs were permanent. Is there another reason for the additional "clickage" ? Seems to me to be redundant.

Yeah heh i noticed that as well..

I know in some cases, people want to have the first ~3 buff slots in your buff window occupied by 'filler' buffs, so if a mob has a debuff ability, it strips those away, and not a useful real buff.

I think the only non-perma (AA) buff clicky from gear now is the geomantra one.. and the DS from cloaks, but thats also permanent..

I always been abit confuse on this. So with a clicky that is a useitem aa etc, so i still need to have the slot buff for the ability or not?

with some of the item effects, when you click them, they give you an AA ability. These are "perma effects" and don't poof when you drop the buff icon.

Some folks how ever want to have the spell effects up in the buff window for, as noted above, when they are getting dispelled.

Otherwise, you are free to click the upgrade item once, remove the buff, and go about your business.

I believe Razcle even mentioned on one time, servers that don't have No-Drop restrictions, he was selling/loaning some items out so folks can click the effect, then give the item back
