Question - Buffing Question

Hi y'all.

Quick question about buffing...how can I get it to work with multiple groups/toons out of group?

I've tried the |mgb tag, but it seems to work sporadically.

I'm trying to get ranger buffs going on my toons with an out of group ranger, but he doesn't seem too concerned about buffing anyone but himself with Wildstalker's Enrichment.

Also, forgive me, I don't play casters. I have no clue how Tranquil Blessings or MGB work; they don't seem to be hitting everyone around them like I assumed they would.

Let me know if anyone has experience with this, thanks.

I haven't done anything fancy and my enchanter/mage/cleric buff/heal/assist my main group. All I do is target the tank with them and type: /mac kissassist. I haven't played around with MGB's or anything but you may want to check his .ini to see if the buff is set to self only. Worst case scenario, create a simple macro that runs every X amount of minutes that /bct's your ranger to mgb, target group, cast group buff.

The mgb tag will wait for it to wear off on ranger first. It won't check the other party at all.

You could try the "begbuff" options that are in KA12 beta.

I figured that was the case...but when I try to MGB Wildstalker's Enrichment, it doesn't do anything for anyone outside the ranger's group (even when I mess around with it without using KA, just using Tranquil Blessings and then casting Wildstalker's)...what am I doing wrong?

Maybe it's group v1 type buff? MGB and TB only work on certain group buffs, that one may not be the right type. EQ doesn't want raids being able to do some buffs as MGBs for everybody, you still have to make your groups to share certain ones.

Right now I'm specifically trying to get Wildstalker's Enrichment to work...Shout of the Arbor Stalker works fine and buffs everyone around with no associated tags, can't get Wildstalker's Encrichment to work on anyone but the ranger for the life of me.

Yeah I just manually tested it and had same issue. Not related to a macro. Enrichment, I used the higher level one, also didn't land on outside group with Tranquil Blessings. If I targeted the outside group, I could land it on them. I played around with "/tgb on" too, but it didn't seem to matter.

Might be bugged on EQ side. Here was a message about it from a few years back.

I don't know of one in KA. I know that Core/Entropy has that type of functionality built in.

Did you try the begbuff thing with KA12 beta? That may do it. Since you can target-group-buff it, just not use TB/MGB.
