News - Big week! (Fangbreaker supposed to remove truebox 2-6-2026)

Big day coming quick! I'm excited for truebox to removed, if it happens.

Thursday will here quickly. Im excited to support my crew again. Its been too long! I haven't messed with any software since Ragefire. Do you have a favorite improvement I should check out since then?

since ragefire? well just about everything is improved

i personally just use CWTN class plugins for every class. they are paid, but i've decided i cannot live without them now. load up a test server build when it's up if you're curious of how it works .. they're free there and all included by default.. just type the command (see each classes' info page for that)
 
So on fangbreaker - Truebox is officially showing "No" in the login screen. PoP is officially live.

I am still getting the hard stop "MQ Does not support - unloading."

My immediate thought is this is likely temporary and I just need to sit on my hands a bit longer. But, some confirmation is always a plus.
 
Tested it myself just to see. In the same boat but given the stance on MQ & TLP best just to wait.

As I understand from Sic's post about Truebox removal, MQ should auto-recognize it and not hard stop. But it's still hard stopping for sure.

It has a very clear "Truebox: No" in the login now.

The best I have read on it so far says if A (truebox no) then B (MQ works) - but it mentions "server side flags" which I dunno what to make of that. That may be the DBG problem you speak of.

Your understanding is faulty.

Just because some flags have been removed and you see them announce it does not mean all the flags have been removed.
(Edit: Guess we don't know if they are all removed at the moment or not though.)

So basically, yeah, you got it. The server side flags. Sucks.
Hopefully doesn't take them as many months as the last one.

Up to the actual server side flag.

I don't believe it requires the eqgame.exe or mq to be updated - just for them to remove the server side flag, as mentioned in the sticky that answers "when do they remove it"

@brainiac would be able to speak to it directly

Okay. All this tracks.

The answer is "Wait longer," which I get.

Keep doing what you do, man! I'll be getting a few plugins once it all clears up.

Well the real answer, like many other tlp unlocks, is to ask dbg when they plan on removing the internal flag - in previous times devs have said there is more than one thing they have to flip, and sometimes it doesn't happen / they forget / don't care until someone asks them

I dont mean to be dense - but I don't think "Hey, can you turn off the flags so I can use the software we don't talk about please?" is in poor taste. What is the proper question, then?

Many players hand box up to 6.. they are also waiting for the switch to be flipped... dont roll in with your red-mug and be like *YO.. flip that setting!!*
 
Looks like my info is wrong. It is going to require an mq update and addition
 
It usually takes a couple of months until they remove that flag. It is really dumb, it should just go off there scheduled date they post publicly on when truebox is dropped.
 
Thanks for all the great info guys! I guess we'll have to give it some time. I'm optimistic! It's been fun seeing so many people on fangbreaker for the PoP release. I'll have to start playing with all this on another server until it unlocks for us.
