Bug - Best shield in game from GROUP

Heard about it this morning and had to check it out. This shield is pretty insane! I am sure it will be fixed but looks like there was not suppose to be a slot 9 added, and there is. It's definitely worth getting while you can

For example. Obexa Primia is TDS Raid shield. It has AC of 315 and HP right around 4k. This shield is such a huge upgrade it's not even funny!

I should note, it dropped for me in demi of decay off of a named fly named sleepbringer. The main aug (resplendent) is purchaseable in pohealth for around 1k remnants of tranquility!

I wonder what they're gonna do when they change it to a type 20 Aug slot like it should be ...

But with stacking AC augs you can get it to like 490 AC, which is crazy.
 
Tried to get the 35 AC type 5 Aug from EF LDoN raid last night. It didn't drop. :(

Yeah, curious as o how they'll fix it. If Aug will pop out or what the deal will be.

Doesn't seem to be reading the A/C correctly. Should be getting over 100+ A/C and looks like I only get +35ac over what I was using.

EDIT: Nevermind me! I just didn't have all my tributes running like normal lol
 
It is still rec lvl 110 also, so stats will be a little less, still far above anything else though!

Hoping next patch fixes the 110 rec but not the shield :p

I'm ready for it, but they've got to get around to it first. Wouldn't surprise me if I can toy around with it for a month or two until they get to this.

The fix just went to Test if the patch notes are accurate.
 
If it's included in that. I know there were a lot of aug slots missing on 2 handers, etc. So this might not be included in it. If it is, what happens to previously auged items? Do they auto-remove the augs?

They already pushed those changes live earlier this week. So either they didn't get pushed to test and they're pushing the Live fixes to test or they've fixed the broken stuff on Test and it will go Live.
 
I got a raid shield the other night that didn't have a slot 3 in it...

Was a good upgrade so I auged it with my Arx 45 ac aug. Patched that night... I woke up to a slot 3 in my shield... With an empty slot 8.
The response to my petition was something like "We replace NOTHING. Get Fucked. Feel free to go camp it again."

So, remember to unaug it for the patch if you love your aug.

Glad to hear their customer service has improved so much since the switch from SOE to DBG.

I logged in after the patch to my shield and augs being on the cursor (TBM shield, dancing rune and the type 9 TBM aug), but not raid so maybe they just screwed over people with raid gear forgetting about type 8.

I am hoping this shield wasn't a mistake. I read on official forums "shield of dreams" like the guy thinks people are wrong to think they meant for this to be what it is. Well Everquest is a fantasy game and groupers could only dream about a shield like this......so perfect name.

This shield and a comparable main-hander will not trivialize the game at all for groupers. Maybe a heal can have .01 seconds more leeway, but a grouper tank is still going to require much more healing compared to a raid tank that has stuff like this ac/hp in every slot.
 
Shield nerf inc on Jan. 20 for Live (13th for Test). Posted by a Dev on official forums.

That's how it's "supposed" to work but I know a few people who lost augs they had in their weapons when they screwed with the slots on them a month or so ago.

Maybe you just remove the augs before the patch, just to be sure.
Better safe than sorry
 
It's pretty similar to The Blue Tower shield now. Same AC, little worse hitpoints I think, not as good on some other points, but you can put a type 5 aug on it unlike The Blue Tower. And of course you should put the Frosty Gem of Enhanced Protection for another 35ac, so still the best group shield in the game as far as I know, outside of raids.
 
someone have a best in slot version picture of this shield now?
 
A small army of 18 - 32 could probably bring Inny down with enough practice and MQ2events/scripting to cure the DT. He's probably one of the easiest fights the entire past two expansions. If anything it would be stupid trivial to get a pickup raid for him if you know how to pre-clear the zone correctly.

Maestro would be groupable if you have figure out yr paladin splashing right
