Looking for a bard ini more geared towards casters with a slow , Im thinking of dropping chanter, so would need to mez also hehe . Thanks
 
And is Requiem of Time better then War march of Dekloaz ?

The two songs you mentioned have different functions so neither is better than the other.
Requiem of Time is a slow debuff on the mob:
1: Decrease Melee Haste by 55%

War March (of Dekloaz) is haste buff for your group:
1: Increase Melee Haste by 60%
2: Increase STR by 279
3: Increase ATK by 179
4: Increase Damage Shield by 127
6: Increase Min Hit Damage by 41%
12: Increase Hit Damage by 5%
 
Caster groups tend to be better with enchanters. Ench provide great spell damage boosts through their group critical dd stuff. Bards really add the most to a melee group via their overhaste (v3) and weapon delay reduction (Quick Time.) They also shine for AC boost if you have a weaker tank for current content.

You mainly want to drop some melee songs and replace them with caster boost things. More 110 bard tips in this 110 song selection post and these bard ini tips.

On the one ini already shared, I'd swap out War March (melee buffs only) & Travenro's Song of Suffering (melee damage procs) for something from the list below. You should also consider Shardstubbles as your slow if you can spare the slot. It adds a debuff with the slow that adds dmg to every nuke that lands on that mob.

These are your caster boosts, so you need to match them with the type of DD your casters are using (fire/cold/dots) The DD procs are all after crit, so they don't add as much as melee boosts.
  • Fatesong of Dekloaz - Adds 2523 DD proc to Cold nukes
  • Akett's Psalm of Potency - Adds 1779 dmg to Magic/Fire dots
  • Qunard's Aria - Adds 1802 DD proc to Fire nukes
  • Shardstubble's Assonant Binding - (optional) Slows/snares mob but also adds +143 to incoming nukes before crit
  • Chants - (optional) These are bard "dots" that reduce the mobs resist to one type of nuke.
You'll also keep Aria of Begalru for the + 45% spell dmg boost.

If you want big mana regen too, bard's can stack up to 5 of their mana regen things. Stackable mana/end regen - Good for downtime twist, per tic regen.
  • 730hp/183mana/19end - Aura of Xigam - Pulse regen aura
  • 202hp/141mana/18end - Pulse of Xigam - Group regen (Best regen if you are only running one song)
  • 175hp/153mana/12end - Chorus of Xigam - AE raid regen
  • 392hp/188mana/17end - Jembel's Lively Crescendo - Pulse buff of 1962hp/942mana/87end every 30 secs.
  • 390hp/183mana/26end - Dicho/Dis Psalm - (costs 6k endur) Pulse buff of 3908hp/1835mana/267end on 1 min recast.
 
I use the bard with 3 rogues. mobs don't last through a full song rotation so I tend to not care. More about the aura and CC, before my warrior finished out his t3 gear he was a little squishy so leaned more on the AC side of songs. At least he would have the AC songs when he ran out to pull.

I like my mage to make moving around easier, Call of heroes makes it easy to move . Guess Ill drop my necro and add back in rogue .So mage,bard,war or Sk ( havent decided yet )rogue,zerk and cleric . Not the best , but all toons I use when not boxing

Read this link and you can make set up twists on the fly. This will give you good information on melodies for all types of groups, so you can use it to set up your twists in the ini. You have i think 4 different twists times to customize. You can set a twist (melody) to start when out of combat, group needs regen, when pulling and during combat. Under melee, section is your melee twist (during combat twist), so the must here for a caster group is to make sure you stack your aria and the overhaste aura. you can also put songs in the buff section, these got put here because they last over a min and i wanted to save room in my twists.

Kiss will do marvelous things with a bard but you kind of need a real tank sk or pally to use kissassist on the bard. A pet tank will work but you have to play by hand and be on your toes which is the reason i have don't use that often.

Think I might just shelve the bard, I like Vanilla because it simple enough , even I can figure stuff out. Chanter is just plug and play it seems .

chanters are objectively better at mezzing, but bards are definitely viable - I exclusively use bards now in 3 different groups and they do well.

If you change your mind and want to give bard a whirl again, I'd be happy to spend some time with you and get you working

The most important part of boxing is enjoying your team tho - so if you'd enjoy the chanter, rock it!
 
Im just not that good at setting things, I can copy paste , shoot,,smash hehe . Bard seems to have potential , but I chanter works well, I just wanted different and maybe better . I use a very strange group . I box my real toons , not just monster dps toons , I like to enjoy the game . I dont want to destroy a zone . I use a mage to coth , since the /follow works , till I need to dps and then nothing will hit mobs , since they all stuck up tanks ass , and then tank moves and makes spells miss . So I use mage, SK or War, ( leaning towards SK) chanter or bard, necro,cleric and a zerker . Not very conducive to a destroy group , but have been working way thru Tbl , till I make changes like adding a bard and setting myself back lol .
 
I also just started out a few days ago learning about all this and trying to get it setup. My group is only in its 20s, and I figgured out this evening how to get my Bard to use his first low lvl mezz. The only thing I'm noticing though is it seems like he will just cast the mezz once, then go back to his combat twist. It seem like if the mezz cast gets interrupted or resisted, that he wont try to recast it again until 24 seconds later (it must just recast based on the duration of the mezz?).

Is there a way to have it do a check to see if the mezz was actually successful and if it wasnt, instead of going back to doing the combat melody routing again, have it keep trying to recast mezz until is a success?
 
The macro picks up when the mob resists mez or it falls off and recasts it automatically (at least it does on my 110 bard, never used it on the lower levels).

Maybe the mob you're mezzing is falling below the "MezStopHPs" threshold you specified in the ini (defaults to 90 I believe). It would be easy for a mob to hit somebody in the 20s and go lower than 90% assuming you guys are using a damage shield of some sort. You could set that value lower in the ini and see if it helps.
 
Thanks guys, have given it another chance , using Sic's ini , seems to be going smoothly , but on a chance I do want it to pull and then have tank pick it up , how do I config that ? Right now I pull with War and bring them into camp . Either one or a shit ton lol .

you would just target the tank and then /mac kissassist puller with the bard
 
I believe I used Sonic Disturbance when I pulled with mine - but I prefer pulling with my tank

Bards are sick... definitely look into Sics ini or atleast take his help on setting it up properly before ditching the bard!
